An FF enthusiast here

Hey everyone,

I've actually been playing this seriously for about a month now, but only just found this forum space, so I'll give this intro a go. I originally started playing over a year ago with some friends, but I quickly lost interest as one ended up quitting (to go back to a "lesser" MMORPG lol). Just last month, something sparked my interest, though I cannot remember what exactly. I was never a real fan of MMORPGs, the only one that caught my interest for more than a few days was Ragnarok Online. In any case, at some point in my character's first job I decided I wanted to make this my main and only MMORPG that I would actually work at, a thought that has remained true to this day.

I often find myself getting lost in the beautiful vastness of Vana'diel. I remember the first time I arrived at Jeuno, I was literally Spellbound, running around like a rabid tourist. Yesterday, I took the airship for the first time, to Kazham, and once again I was amazed. Sometimes, I really wish I could go into a world like that. I'm sure other players here can understand this.

I'm really glad I got into this game.

Welcome to the forums Makiri and welcome back to Vana'diel! Many of us have been playing for years so we know what you mean about running around spellbound, we'll never forget those feelings. ^^

^^b I felt the exact same way when I started. The world seemed so huge and overwhelming. It's a damn shame that the feeling will eventually go away as traveling becomes more of a chore than fun exploration ; ;

Thanks! I've been chocobo-ing for over a few weeks now, and for some reason I am not tired of it yet. I've never had to shout for a teleport to an area only a few spaces over like lots of people do. Last night I helped out a guy who was around my level get keys for the Kazham airship quest, which ended up taking at least a few hours of my time. It just felt very rewarding...and pretty much our entire party stuck with us too. Afterwards we ended up going to Yuhtunga Jungle, where we struggled a bit, but it's just interesting how we were able to keep the party together like that. I don't want to sound like I'm over-glorifying this game or anything, but no other game has been more rewarding for me so far.
