Hello everyone! Hinami here~! I'm an asian-american girl in her first year of college. I love movies and video games especially RPGs~!

I always wanted to try FFXI but my old computer couldn't handle it..fortunately though I got a new computer for Christmas this year so now I can actually play!

Currently I'm looking up info about the game ( I don't want to start off a TOTAL ditz) but I should start playing sometime this week~!

..If I can ever pick a server that is!

I'm sure it will be nice making friends around here~

Welcome to FFXI! It's always nice to have fresh meat- Erm, I mean... new players... yeah thats it... new players...

I play on Midgardsormr, and it seems like a pretty decent server, but then again it's the only one I have ever been on so I can't give you information on anything else... I would imagine they are all very similar though, so just chose one you like the name of or something.

I really don't have any requirements but I would like a server with a lot of people~ ^o^ Since I tend to be a really chatty person.

There should be a thousand to three or four thousand people online just about any time of the day (higher number on weekends) on any World, but the population does shift from from majority English speakers, to mixed, to majority Japanese speakers, to mixed, and back to majority English again every 24 hours.

Have to warn you that when you first start off, you won't know many people and may not have a linkshell pearl, so may feel a bit lonely. (On the plus side, it means you're free to explore to your own pace and make mistakes without anyone watching over your shoulder, so it's not all that horrible.)

Welcome to FFXI. I sort of have a similar story. I wanted to play FFXI ever since it came out but our old computer wasn't good enough, but I finally got a chance to join last summer and I have been enjoying it.

I'm pretty sure every server has it's fair share of people. Of course, some have more than others, but I don't think it makes much of a difference. If your open for suggestion then I can tell you that I've played for half a year on Garuda and have taken white mage to 38 and I can't think of a single time when I've had "issues" with people. There seems to be a lot of nice people and my main linkshell is a pretty good group of mostly mid-level players who would be more than willing to help you out.

But whichever server you choose, I'm sure you'll still have fun.

I confess, I'd rather admit that I don't know what that means than waste the time looking it up. However, if you are referring to my gil offer, I'll have you know that I always give gil to new players regardless of anything... Do unto others and all that.

Considering the affinity for young men towards young ladies (again how do we know lol) especially of the Asian race, I guess it was just hopeful thinking. LOL

Good luck on finding the right server for you. A piece of advice though, I wouldn't run around telling people you are a asian-american girl in college too much....well unless you want to attract a lot of attention. lol It could attract the wrong type of attention or crowd and make your experience in game not as pleasant as you hoped for. Have fun and enjoy FFXI!
