Bought the game...

    Bought the game...

    I bought the game and after several hours of installation, it turns out paypal doesn't work as a payment method (few friends said it did).
    So, neither me nor anyone else I know has a credit card, and my bank refuses to give me a debit card (dunno why, even though I have absolutely NO credit history whatsoever).
    I can't apply for Visa iCard over here (I live in UK) and I tried to apply for ePassporte, but it only gave me 3 different ways to apply:
    1) With a credit card....
    2) US Bank Account (Don't live in US)
    3) Cash Account (which is, given my luck, Unavailable)

    Can anyone help me AT ALL??!! Are there any other ways to pay for FFXI (well....any ways which they actually accept) so I can finally play this game?!

        ooo sorry can you open a checking account or even a credit account then just order a card and use that im doingg that
        i still get on here....even though it might not happen often i do!

          Can you get Visa gift cards in the UK?
          I use a Mac because I'm just better than you are.

            Check out stores that give gift cards in the form of credit cards. i know a lot of stores started doing that around the holidays last year and still do it...i know banks do it as well.

              That's weird. I never had any banking history here either but the very moment I open a bank account, the bank gave me a debit card no problem... and I am still using the card to pay for this game to this day.

                I never heard of those gift cards from stores, they might not do them over here.
                Also, I tried for visa gift cards but that's just for US
                It looks like ePassporte is my best bet, so I'll keep trying that.

                  did you buy the US version of the game or the EU version? I'm sure there has to be something for you crazy Your-A-Peans for the local banks in the country.

                    Looks like you can get a pre-paid Mastercard for the UK.
