ok I have a few questions.. can anyone help?

Ok how do you get a second job? I've seen people that are like level 4 warriors and level 2 red mage, etc.. Where is a good place to get armor for White Mages? I've looked at a vendor person in the town but none of the armor was for a white mage? Also, how do you learn new spells and abilities? Can anyone help me please?

Where is a good place to get armor for White Mages? The Auction House. It's where everybody trades practically every type of item. Just look for the hordes of people and that's probably it.

I've looked at a vendor person in the town but none of the armor was for a white mage? You won't find armor on local vendors.

Also, how do you learn new spells and abilities? Each spell is assigned to a seperate level. The tough part is, that you need to actually buy the spell yourself. You could quest some of the spells, but a lot of the quests require that you be a higher level, or have a lot of gil. Check the auction house for any spells that you need at your level.

Best tip I can give you is to do a /sh in whatever town you are in for a mentor. Most mentors will show you the ropes and help you learn the basics so you can get started. As far as armor goes I wouldn't worry about buying armor till you are lvl 7. Use the stuff you were given to start with till then. Take some time to walk around your home town and talk to the NPCs some of them will give you quest that you can complete for gil or items you can sell or use. Another way to make gil is to talk to the gate guard on the way out of the city and have them cast signet on you, that way when you fight mobs you will get crystals you can sell in the ah.

Best advice still is to find a friend and have them show you the basics.
