Joining FFXI shortly

Hey all whatsup?? I cant wait till I get this game it seems awesome, does anyone have any advice, or anything I need to know before joining the online world of FFXI. Every server has their fare share of evil people, so I wouldn't recommend any particular one. I happen to enjoy the one I'm on, Diabolos. (for a world pass, let me know)

Don't be discouraged by people saying you shouldn't be any particular job due to your race. You can be anything you want to be. You may just have to concentrate a little more on particular armor to assist you.

That's all I can think of for now. :D

Oh ok thanks, also how do you walk in PC version of the game is it like Diablo? ware you click ware you want to go, and it will move their??

Number Pad 8... I think.. I use a wireless controller for my PC.... :D

You use the numpad for liek all navigation. 8 to go forward, 4 for left, 6 for right, 2 for back. 5 changes from 3rd to 1st person view and back. 7 autoruns. Asterisk[*] rests/heals. 0 toggles between targets. And there's probably more you can do from it, I just dont remember. If youre using a laptop, you can set the keyboard setting to 'compact' and I believe you would use WASD to control then.

When I first started playing, I used my mouse and laptop keyboard to play

Well I am getting it for Xmas, so I have to wait till then. I hope I get a laptop for Xmas too...those are the only two things I want LOL!
