Gil can be used to buy upgrades on FFXIO. The donate function gives your gil to someone else. There are two types of upgrades, the RPG game, and fourm posting. For the RPG game, you can buy gear for your character, for the fourm, you can buy things such as custom titles, bolding, ittalics, colored names, and glowing names.

Ok (im a newb to this website) i get the gil part now but i was wondering about the rep power i havnt seen it mentioned anywhere yet so i thaught it would be ok to ask here. Does it correspond with how many posts youve done or topics youve made? Does it have to do with friends or amount a gil? How would i get this up?
Any info on Rep Power would be greatly appreciated to me....I like pie........no seriously.. i do.

Rep is i believe, when you post something that is good info, or a good subject, people can click on the small file folder icon underneath your info and add to your rep. Like when you use this site for a guide or something someone has put alot of time and effort into, that has helped you out you can rate up there post.
Other than that it does not affect anything.I fire up the grill.

Not that it really matters. It's basically nothing more than a symbol of what other posters think of you. That and it gives resistance to Thief!

The 30 post minimum thing is for the forum RPG. There's not a minimum post count that I'm aware of to use the store, but it'll be a little while before you save up enough gil to buy anything good.Comment

The Site Rpg has a min 30 posts............the store you can go to whenever you want if you have the Gil
