yea, seriously whats with the taru hate STILL. most people have enough experience now to know better. i had a 5 taru, 1 hume pt last night in gc. one of the nicest pts ive had in a long time. war/nin x2, mnk (me), thf, rdm, brd. raked in 13k in 2 hrs at ~lv. 34. when everyone knows what to do, it doesnt matter what you are.

i love how they keep attacking you for 0. i mean, dont they think hmm, its not working i should do something else productive than atk the rdm...?

Ok, I wonder how rdm is for subbing? Maybe it's time for me to level up my level 1 rdm... Then I'd have my pets take care of them.

Any mage that subs RDM will be 3 times as Deadly-

Fast Cast v2 @ 35
Dispel @ 32
Phalanx @ 34

Give phalanx to a PLD or a WHM, because they already have an Enhancing Skill, makes them very dangerous. I think PLDs, actually, benefit, because they get a Defense Bonus, sans Defender, but don't lose attack.

Ninja's also sub RDM in addition to using Haste Gear to have shadows up for those Melee scuffles.

But sometimes it doesn't matter, since Diaga, with Haste on, has like a 2 second recast, meaning that as soon as I cast it, I can cast again. So Shadows don't mean diddly squat to me.

NIN and THF are the most dangerous jobs to fight if you're a melee, but the easiest to fight if you're RDM. To me, the most dangerous jobs are MNK and WAR, similarily how NINs and THFs make easy sauce out of those jobs. . .

so ive been picking up my bst again. i was in gustav the past few nights and just about every night ive been there, a rdm is soloing amikiri.

since people can see what avesta has done, has it opened the flood gates to rdm solo festival now? i havent fought amikiri personally so i dont know his strength but the rdm that i saw last night, didnt have anything out of the ordinary in terms of gear. your standard rdm gears and just a bind/grav/nuke/bioII fest. takes the rdm about 45min-hr to bring it down.

Nothing wrong with kiting if you can. What I want to know is why someone would repeatedly solo an NM whose only good drop is Rare/Ex 100% chance.

I didnt and wasnt implying that there is anything wrong with it. If you can do it great. I was bringing this up because I read else in another thread about how some people were debating on whether or not rdm is overpowered. Someone brought up the point that, not EVERY one is dedicated and skilled as avesta is. However, after seeing 3 different rdm successfully solo amikiri (w/o much danger/trouble at all) I started to wonder, do people dare try these things now since they have seen it done? Is it really -that- difficult or merely the preceived notion that it is difficult is what keeps people away from doing it in the first place?

i believe amikiri also drops v.craw, thats why people do it.

edit: after reading a few different sources, not sure if it does or did drop v.craw. that's what 1 of the rdm told me when he was killing it. hoping for v.craw.

I dunno, I think the people that had the skill or the inclination to do it were always going to. Grendal-san was my inspiration. Not really a new thing.

For my part, I haven't stumbled across many NMs only to see a rdm soloing, but then again I haven't just stumbled across many NMs period.

i still believe in DRG's soloing ability , which is sorta better than RDM for farming
