i like the video, but i can`t imagine how hard this is

before the patch a while ago that nerfed rangers we could go from pop to death in less than 40 minutes. now it takes 2-3 times that. although, that's just my LS which is smaller than most HNMLS.

there's 3 ways of fighting him that i know about. they all start the same way:

(1) pop him and kite him around while people kill the 4 summons

then they diverge:
(2a) everyone who can aspir (blm, drk main or sub), aspir him for about an hour til he runs out of MP. then back him into a corner and unleash on him for about 30 mins til he dies. total time from pop to death: 2 hours

(2b) kite him around and do slow damage to him for a few hours. you have to overcome his fast regen or the fight goes on infinitely. total time from pop to death: 3-4 hours

(2c) get TP, and hold him still for a minute while everyone does SC and MB on him. then kite him for 5 mins while people raise and get TP again. total time from pop to death: 1.5 hours (but more deaths)

ah, thanks for the info

one little question, would a rdm/nin work as tank?
with 3 melee with TA + WS on him and he only have to hold himself alive with shadows?
fast cast + maybe blink, aquaveil +shadows + phalanx + maybe stoneskin?

..my 2 cent ^^
if not... it was only a thinking coming to my mind by reading this

no not at all....

altought we are great soloers we could never tank Kirin
we only get 3 shadows from Ni when subed and stonskin will absorb 1 hit max

Nin wars and pld/nins are far better tanks and kirin is never tanked straight up ^^
most time you kite him around and try to get the Hate back from mages and DD's^^
