I've only got one mule and I could probably go without that if I didn't feel like having a storage unit for excess crafting junk and R/E items I never use.

I had 1 mule. His purpose was to hold event things that I didn't have the heart to get rid of as well as some other small items. Apart from that, it allowed me to put double the items up on the AH at once. That was really about it... and even then... I was too preoccupied to actually log onto him most days to do even the smallest amount of AH dealings.
