So, I swear I do more here than just post pics of myself. But! This weekend I met some folks that I've known online for like, 10 years. We are members of a small group of people who are leftovers from a forum that shut down some years ago. This particular pair met in HS and got married after, now they own their own home, and are planning a family. It has been interesting to watch that vicariously over the years.

Anyway! Marci, the girl in the pictures, has family in the area, and finally came to visit at a time when I was free. We got together and spent the entire day just sort of wandering around Cincinnati, with me showing them the sights, taking them to eat delicious foods, and do a bit of shopping in between sightseeing. So! I thought I'd post some pics.

Early in the day. Surprisingly, Eric is 27. He looks 12. I think he has a portrait in his attic or something.


Here we all are at the mall. It was hard to find people to take a pic of all of us.


Here Marci and I are at the Lego store.


Shopping for glasses at Nordstrom.


There were a ton more, but I'm not a sadist. ANYWAY. Here my roommate and I are on Friday night, at the bar around the corner. For whatever reason someone wanted a pic of us. Ugh.


And here I am several weeks ago at the Art Museum. I look fat and stupid. But I love this painting.

For serious. He's actually older than she is. It doesn't help that he dresses and styles his hair like a kid.

I am so getting some glasses like that (I really do need a new pair of glasses). Then people can ask me how to fix their macs!

I wish we'd gotten a pic of our dinner (sushi). It was so freaking good. I am tempted to go back there this evening to get more.

I've been having a sushi craving myself. Tuna and Avocado Sushi rolled in sesame seeds...mmmmmmm! But, alas, there is ONE place that makes decent sushi (like its that hard...Wisconsin sucks) and its a half an hour away. That and trying to get my tight wad husband to part with some money makes it a once every 6 months outing! lol

We got a new roll I've never tried before. It was called the Deep Fried Terminator Roll. Not really traditional by any stretch, but delicious.

Here's the place I go the most. I love it so (though, loltripod). Though I had sushi friday night with a friend of mine in town at Mr. Sushi. Delicious, but with alcohol, it was $70 for both of us, and that can't be a regular thing for me.

OMG, that looked delicious! Makes me want THAT sushi instead of what we have. Our selection is much more limited. There were things on there that I'd never seen before...especially deep fried dishes! They definitely don't do that at the one here.
