I have a 66 yr old biking buddy that gives the thumbs up in EVERY DAMN PICTURE (not to mention has a cigarette hanging out of his mouth or in his hand). I've told him over and over that he doesn't look cool, he looks like a friggin idiot. This isn't the 50's and you aren't cool like Fonzie so knock that shit off! Omg that felt good to get out! LOL

its a shame how music has reached the point where its all fashion and no longer about good music
displayed by the popularity of a terrible band like bring me the horizon vs a stellar band like kidcrash which would likely appeal to the same audience if they could be exposed

I think you know the answer Tipsy. You don't even like the way it looks if you were hacking on it yourself. Time for a cut and then you can let it grow out the way you want it to. Hair grows fast so no big deal if you have to run around with your hair shorter than you are used to.

How does music have anything to do with the way I like my hair?
Plus, bmth is way too inaudible for my liking. I'm more into screamo, and starting to really like the hip-hop screamo scene like brokencyde (listen to schizophrenia, bree! bree!, get crunk, all great) , it really has a great feel to it. Kind of makes screamo catchy.

I never heard of Kidcrash, but I don't understand what you're saying? They're are a million bands that are better than bmth and arn't even close to their popularity level. I tried to listen to kidcrash's stuff on youtube, but its just really crappy, thanks to youtube's video quality.

My friend is in love with it, he tried to get me into it.

Deffffinnatly not my cup of tea.
Not putting it down or anything, it's cool what they can do.

I'm not too fond of them either but sometimes you have to bite the bullet. What I did was, I went on the internet and put in a search something like "<city>'s best salons". Then I looked for ones that had websites. I figured that if they took the money to have a website put up, they were savvy and were making money. I found one that was hooked up to Facebook too and looked into it. They were into the local music scene and some other stuff so in the end I chose them. I picked right. They were a bit on the expensive side (highlights and cut for $130) but I made the right choice. Then I followed up with trims at the local Supercuts and went in about once a year to the expensive place. It's worth it to find a place you can trust even if you have to save up for a while in order to go.

I actually cut my own hair, but I never really do more than a trim. This is mostly because I'm cheap, though. If I fuck it up I'll shell out the $15 for the haircut, but usually my hair looks acceptable so I save myself some cash by doing it myself. I won't risk cutting anyone else's hair, though, not even my kids. (Though doubt the kids would sit still and let's not even go into that ....)

If you don't trust yourself to do it, ask a family member or your girlfriend, some of them might be willing to try it. If it fails well, you know who not to ask for a haircut again, and if it looks good ... sweet!

I don't know....if he doesn't even trust a hair stylist who's actually trained to cut your hair I doubt he'd be willing to just let someone that wasn't trained try it. LOL I know there is NO WAY IN FRIGGIN HELL I would let anyone that I know do it. Trim some bangs or long hair, maybe but a style......not gonna happen!

I cut my daughter's hair for about 13 years and my son's for 24. I finally took him for his 25th birthday to my salon and he got a cut and highlights along with a stock of product. It was his birthday present. Now he actually styles his hair and loves the way it looks. When he looks at his old pictures he's like "MOM look at what you did to me for years!!" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA and I'm still doing my husband's hair!
