I don't understand how this could have happened. I've been having real bad luck with/in parties lately, it's starting to get on my nerves. Bats don't get close enough to the door to aggro, and the skels are even farther away. Somebody must have trained and died at the door, but I never saw a death message. =/

Re: Garliage Citadel has reached a new low.
Err... wow. I've never seen anything like that happen in Garliage. People have trained a bat or two (the ones that aggro) but that... no."From the void all things are born.
To the void all things return."

Re: Garliage Citadel has reached a new low.
it was likely someone using ninja 2hr behind the door. apparently someone was camping one of the nm that pop just behind the door and had some uninvited guests while slipping it towards gate 1 area (which is usually the camp to set up for sam and the rdm/thf af nm so only an handful of people has to go through and get it and everyone else waits and open the gate for them). it also could been a beastmaster somehow losing charm on a f-bat while fighting a skeleton and rest was history. at level 60 those mobs just behind door 1 (c-bat and fallen officer) are still borderline aggro - it was likely the aggroing the f-bat caused all this mess. the smart option would be using an warp device or find a spot to wipe, but whoever caused the train wasn't very smart. Last week I zoned a Mindgazer to norg that aggroed me behind mythril beastcoin door in SSG -a spot where mindgazers don't go to. (It had to be a BST pet, as they are commonly used). It stayed at Norg for a good 6 hours or so before another beastmaster finally charmed it and took it back to the oranmental door to be released. Next time that happens there i'll just take it back towards that door and try to warp cudgel out. (Hecteyes are very slow in getting back where they come from on their own, they're even worse than crawlers in CN after one of those infamous train.)
you can see that the mobs went well past the door and they were trying to get back where they came from. if you see something suspicious like that i just move to that dead end just to the south of this area.
still in garliage citadel, the area by gate 1 is still the best camp, mostly because trains bypass the area about 95% of the time.Dig A10; Main: Bonecraft 100+3/subs: 60/Fishing 59.7

Re: Garliage Citadel has reached a new low.
Actually they ran through the door to kill us, then ran back. That's why I was surprised. No prior warning, no sign that something was coming, it all happened so quickly.

Re: Garliage Citadel has reached a new low.
I have seen a huge citadel bat train once, and the trainer survived(thanks to flee), he did not give any shout notice, just trained it on every party that are leveling, bats unaggro him and link the rest of the party(party at entrance level on bats). Yet he still dare to joke after his own train.
It's getting normal these days, citadel train, nest train, etc Some idiots just don't have common courtesy, all they know is 'Do not spend CP on instawarp, do not ask blm for warp 2, do not buy warp cudgel'.

And your hair flows like.. The ocean breeze...
Not a million fights could make me hate you, you’re invincible.
Yeah, It’s true.
It’s in your eyes, where I find peace.

Re: Garliage Citadel has reached a new low.
This sort of thing will always happen. Someone gets aggroed by bats, bats link, low hp = undead aggro, next train of thought = "My only ways out are dying or zoning.... and there's only 1 zone!" So... they run run run as fast as they can. For a horde of 25 mobs is chasing them.Altaeciana:75RDM/40BLM/71WHM/40SMN/37NIN/37DRK/40RNG/37WAR
