It's actually a reference to a Japanese player. Who is almost never seen un-afk by NA players (... which is not at all surprising considering the time zone difference), but is always afk in a new spot every day, though it's almost always next to one or another AH.

And always *always* has the same comment while afking. Which happens to be "kawaii" in hiragana, followed by their own name in romaji (Latin - that is, English - letters), followed by "chan" once again in hiragana. The color of the comment dot varies - sometimes it's red, sometimes green, sometimes yellow, sometimes blue. Not that it ever changes the contents of the comment.

... and yes, like most jokes, it loses quite a bit in the telling.

Your challenge, then, is to find out for yourself who this player is. Not gonna go naming names or anything.

Wowee. Hello everyone. I'm alive and somewhat well. As my friend Diopulus has said, I have been sick since I got back from Thanksgiving. Not to mention I had some family issues to attend to. Last weekend, my brother got married to a dear friend of mine. So as you can see, my absence was due to many things.

And for the record, I do not play World of Warcraft despite the rumor that I am doing so. Thank you to all your support and concern and I'm getting over my sickness (I think). I still do not feel well and everyone tells me I should go to a doctor since it is free. I just hate doctors. On top of that I got my car but I haven't driven it much due to my sickness (oh the irony).

As for FFXI, I didn't quit. I just haven't gotten a chance to pick it up at all. My weekends were away from home and my weekdays were of me either in bed or at work. Christmas is rolling up but I won't be spending my time at my home, but my brother's. In the meantime, I'll try to finish up what screenshots I need to post since I have a backlog, but my FFXI time has been reduced to a minimum. I do not have plans to quit, but I think this break is a much needed one.

Again, thank you to all of you who expressed your concerns and again... I haven't left FFXI. In fact, I have played NO games in my absence. I love you guys and take care.

Also I really don't understand why you haven't played WoW yet.... I mean you were so big in Warcraft III... ["sick" = WoW overdose? ]

And if you're so sick that you can't even play games (not even offline games, where the only stresses are self-imposed), and have been that sick for half a month ...

Take the advice you were given and go see a doctor, especially if that's free. Even though I know, it's just one more person's advice.
