Anyways, Niiice pics man, the new dragons are INSANE, i dont know what i would give to help kill one of those, ....but ive seen the shots of the drgaon in Kuftal, and King Behemoth, id be just as happy with those as well =)

As always, awesome shots man, and i have a couple questions for ye, though, there more then kinda newbish >.< i'll ask em later though

To Akirasan: I personally haven't tried again. I don't know if my LS (or any other for that matter) have beaten him yet. They are always asleep when I come home.



To Samar: Rangers are indeed useful, so don't feel too bad. I know we compete with them for most damage but quite frankly, there are some things they're good at that we're not. This is that example, many HNMs have high elemental resistance, thus our spells have a low chance of doing a lot of damage. Then again, for Jorgamund, we had a few Rangers but they were hitting it for a very weak amount. The thing to note though, is that their damage is consistent. Ours can range from "wow, I hope nobody saw my spell damage" to "holy crap guys, look how much damage I did". But I can definitely see a pack of them (RNGs) together to take down this beast.

Promathia M2-5 - Part II (Riverne Site #A01)
Finishing up where I left off, this post shows off the beauty of Riverne Site #A01 as well as a few pictures of the beasties up here. Despite the beauty of the Riverne area, I have to complain about one thing... The textures they used for the sky. Unlike other areas where the clouds & sky blends in beautifully, you get big nasty pixel blocks from low-res textures blown up to fill your screen. Tis a shame too, because Riverne would be even better looking with better textures. You get to see every aspect of the sky from sunrise to sunset to night time, to cloudy weather to clear skies.

The pictures end right before the BCNM, which I will post at another time. Anyway, the usual warning...

omg that is soooo awesome, i havent been able to look through all 93 pages of ur thread, but from the first and last pages that i have seen, they are awesome ^_^

Do you have a picture of Bahamut, I have no clue how the Zilhar or Promathia stories go but I just saw a pic of Bahamut on playonline.com

Just wondering if you could post one so that I can see what its all about, Thanx ^_^

About those Dragons...

Those are hands down the coolest looking monsters in this game. They are even above Kam'lanaut (in his battle getup) for awesomeness. Are all three Dragons in the same area, and do you have any idea how are they different? Thankee!

Wow. Riverne is a beautiful place, like a cross between Lufaise/Misareaux, and Ru'Aun. Except from the invis you were wandering around with, I have a guess that it doesn't have that lovely tingly sensation of being aggro-free.

To Eropiro: Check out Page 84 (1st Promathia Dialogue). I have a bunch of screenshots of Bahamut there. Actually, I'm about to post a few today. Thanks Taz for posting your pic in the meantime.

To Venkelos: I like dragons (or wyrms as some NPCs call them in FFXI). I've always been partial to them and the first time I saw Fafnir, my jaws dropped. I think others may have more information on the wyrms themselves. I'm pretty sure they are Bahamut's minions (in an upcoming picture set, you will see what I'm talking about). As of right now, it is know that there are three of them. Jormagund, Tiamat, and Vrtra. I *think* Tiamat is has fire-based attacks, as she shoots out a fire attack? Maybe casts fire spells? That's what I was told. Jormagund is up in the Northlands, has ice-based attacks & spells. Not exactly sure if he's weak to fire, but that's what we (my LS) were casting against him for the first time (as well as Thunder just for higher damage). As for Vrtra, I have no clue. I want to say Stone... but then again, there's already a Stone-based Dragon like these (BCNM). You other readers who know, feel free to write.

To CRtwenty: Yeah.. I mean for you that have been with me since the beginning, you've seen it all. But for those who are new readers and don't have time to read through 90+ pages, you miss a lot of the screenshots. I know it takes a long time to read through them (as well as the replies) because I tried one day from being bored. I only got to page 30 before I decided to quit (haha). I've actually tried to think of a way to sort of organize these, but I've only figured out one solution. One solution could be to quit this thread entirely and just move my screenshots to a blog-type journal on my own webserver. However I don't want to do that because of the following reasons:
1. Although the pictures are already organized in their respective directories, I would have to "repost" them in the new page format.
2. I like FFXIOnline because I think it has one of the English-speaking FFXI best communities out there. The good/kind people to childish people ratio is very good here. So it's natural that I would want to put my pictures on the best forum.
3. People come to FFXIOnline other than just my pictures. They come here to talk about things, ask questions, find answers, give the latest scoop, etc. It is a lot easier just doing all of this at once in one central location instead of bookmarking tons of different links.

Another solution would be to offer a ToC, but it would get buried in all the replies, so I really don't know what to do. I have always filled requests by just reposting a picture when someone asks for one that I've already posted.

I love this thread as it is! I've gone back to read from the beginning a few times now when work has gotten slow (or my urge to see ffxi screens kicks in) and enjoyed rereading and seeing those earlier pics again. Its been a joy to watch Fal through his adventures and his tireless efforts to show them to us all. And this thread also has a wealth of good information from many good player's perspectives that many people, including myself, have found useful. A proper format might be nice, but I wouldn't change how was created.

When this thread hits 100 pages, I'll probably go back through all the pages again, and enjoy it like the very first time I came to this thread.

Hehe. La la, thank yas Fal! ^^ Yeah. I do care about my job even if it means I can't level for a while to make up the gil for my stuff. It's well worth it I know ^.^ I plan to be the first SAM in our LS to NOT quit at 60. -.-I really need a better LS. Lol.. But anyway.. great Prom. Pics and thats a big Buffalo(sp) -.-.. Like.. wow, that could make a lot of food for those starving children overseas. =D.. *waves* Bai :D

To MrADC:Wow! Doesn't that take a lot of time though? I mean when I was "rereading" my posts from page one, it was a few hours before I realized I only gotten past a couple pages. I don't have that kind of time.

Another thing I realized too is that along with this thread, I've also grown a bit. I reread some of my in-game responses to people and I thought to myself "I actually said that?" I still back my replies 100%, but I think there could be some editing here and there. Afterall, just like you guys, I was learning more and more about the game. Even to this day, I'm still learning. Thanks for the kind words from you as well as Akiyama.

Yes, it will take awhile. When I reread the entire thread, I plan to do it spanning over a week, maybe even two. I'm a patient type, if I can read the entire LOTR book in a few settings, I can enjoy this thread in a few also
