To Grodo: Yes, you lose XP in Dynamis. The sad part is some people refuse to take any other raise than Raise 3. Personally, I'll take whatever raise I can get because Dynamis is timed. Every minute you wait for a raise is a minute wasted. Somehow these people dont' comprehend that and would rather wait 5-10 minutes just to get a raise 3. The thing is, you DIE in dynamis. There is no way to avoid death unless you hide from the battles.

To LionhartPLD: I want my orc HNM title I forgot what it was, but I know you can get it! Yea, the orc HNM was a bitch too. We had no BLM (I was Redmage at the time. It was 3 ninjas and one of them got hit with that orc TP move. The one where he jumps and smashes you for over 1200 damage. He died.

Oh and Grodo, yes you lose EXP. However 5% of the people on our server actually LOSE exp, the others decide to not take one for the team and refuse anything but raise III. This slows everything down and really gimps our productivity. Not to mention the people who think FFXI is highschool, and risk the efficiency of our runs so they can all be in one alliance and play grab ass, i won't mention any names but it's just say bright green is the flavor of the month ;p.

Nnep it's painfully obvious to me that you seem to have some personal vendetta with our linkshell now. This thread is too good to be turned into a flame contest so I will try to avoid flaming in any matter. Our linkshell has the nicest people I could hope for, and while greed was somewhat evident right at the beginning, that's to be expected with a new group seeing new items. Since then everything has only gotten better, it's to a point where everyone respects each other and actually wants to see each other succeed. We are not a collection of individuals, we are a team.

I have not been able to make it to dynamis lately as I'm in the middle of a real life move. I, however, am fairly sure that the failure of dynamis wouldn't be the cause of our linkshell, these guys all have a drive to succeed. If history repeats itself and jeuno has a low turnout next week, I hope to be able to make it and help make it successful.

Our linkshell has one rule that we will not let slip away: NO DRAMA. We only get better every week and I don't see how anyone could have anything bad to say about us. I'll tell you this much, nobody in our linkshell hates 90% of the server and has a full blacklist. I have a lot of pride for our linkshell and I apologize if this post is somewhat off topic. Fal's screenshots are great as always and really do a fantastic job of portraying both the good and bad aspects of both the game and our server. I can't wait to see what you take on next, Fal.

heya fal, i have never posted in your thread before but i have read it from the very start, god, long time ago, would just like to say thanks for all the pics :D i am a devoted mage like yourself, but as european being realesed and also new comp in 1 weeks time i gonna leave that char and start a fresh :D. The pics u give are amazing, and your character has really grown, altho i aint elvaan (im tarutaru all the way :D) i do know how it is being left in back casting, most people will think its boring but i get a real buzz out of standing there and nuking some beastmen and watching them squeel.

Is it possible to see a Black Mage Taru in AF2? if you have already posted i may have missed a page or 2 (maybe up to 5) along the way so let me know and ill look back but i couldnt find earlier :D. thanks for the thread :D

To kyle5547: My LS has already done this. Remember that I'm the only NA person within this linkshell and the rest of them are Japanese. Since they've had the game longer, most of them already have the "Divine Might" earring. I was supposed to be a part of an NA "Divine Might" alliance but due to a recent conflict with the organizer, I feel that I may not be invited on this one.


To Shamus: Thanks for the compliments. It really means a lot that my screenshots are entertaining to others. As for starting over, that's something I don't think I could ever do.. Especially now with all I've accomplished, that would be more work than I'd like to put in :p Good luck with that!

To my knowledge, there is no Taru with near full BLM AF2 on my server. My suggestion would be to use the model viewer that lets you see every model/texture in the game. The closest thing I have is a male hume in almost all BLM AF2.


To darkamber: I'm assuming you mean the brackets? Those sir, are Lenticular Brackets found in the Japanese Shift-JIS subrange. To use those, you must obtain a macro editor (or obtain the Japanese version of FFXI).

Ahh. Good call. 2 heads are better than one! That's a chat filter. You can select which type of text you wish to hold (doesn't scroll by) in the config menu while in FFXI. It's under chat filters.

Sorry to hear about your Dynamis LS as well. Seems like my regular LS is having the same troubles and its becoming harder and harder to keep everyone happy the higher levels everyone acheives. Seems like all the good people allways get shafted.

Anyways, I look foreward to seeing your future successes (is that even a word?:sweat: ) and hope whatever problems you come across are resolved without many issues.
