Great job on slaying the dragon! I'm secretly wishing that a rdm could equip the Ridill, because it looks like a nice sword to own. Great screens, and I noticed that you opted to take the blm over the rdm this time, to deliver more punishment I bet!

To MrADC: Thanks! Oh, for Red Mages, their end swords (besides relic) are either Joyeuse or Enhancing. Joyeuse is similar to Ridill but has 1 less attack on it. Both are difficult to get as they are both camped often.

My RDM is only level 70 (close to 71). When I was invited to the HNM LS, they wanted me as a BLM because a Black Mage's role is very important in HNM hunting. I'll continue to be a BLM in the LS unless they tell me otherwise.

enhancing sword is overrated . Joyeuse kicks its butt. Besides with Joyeuse you do en spell damage often twice in one turn ^^.
and no rdms shouldnt be able to equip ridill -_- they're overpowered as-is. >_>;;
but paladins should be able to use Ridill damnit >=[

Actually, I just saw the Joyeuse when I was checking out
Lionhart's profile! It seems like a hard item to get, but
I wouldn't have it any other way and look forward to owning it some day!

I'm sure being a blm during those battles is less stressful than
being a rdm. (Timing spell casting vs. buffing pt, debuffing mob)
but if you enjoy both equally, then I guess you can't lose.

Nice shots again Fal (even though they are not the Zilart ones I want so bad *hinthint*). ^^ Gratz on the drops. I saw a 75RDM/37WHM using a Joyeuse; it kicked ass. She soloed the Sea Horror; had Phalanx + Stoneskin + Haste + Enthunder and was laying the smack down on it good. She must've used Savage Blade like 5 or 6 times too; it was awesome. ^^ It was also funny watching these n00bs keep trying to watch, then getting killed by repeated AoE attacks. XD (You'd think they'd learn after one almost killed them, but nooo... )

But I digress. Zilart pics!!!! *waits for them impatiently* :sweat:

Although i don't think i've seen *anyone* on midgard wearing both joyeuse and ridill... only people come even close are Newcompany or GO with joyeuse + kraken >_>

The leader of our LS uses Ridill and Joyuese at all times.

Imagine a WAR/NIN with BRD. Both using 2 hour, having haste and Madrigal and March on him

We can kill most NMs quite quick now ^^

I think the most I have ever seen him hit in a row was 8 times. And if you eat the HQ Riceballs with the +8 Double Attack effect, it is auto damage and insanity.

Our other WAR just got a Ridill that dropped today. Fenrir has 4-5 Ridills and we have 2 of them

2 War/Nin with Ridill = teh pwnji

Anyways, I don't feel like searching through 50 pages of pics and whatnot, so I'll just ask it here.

Faluzure, it seems like you upgraded your computer from when you first started this thread. What are your computer's new specs and what resolution are you running at now?

To VendingMachine8: My computer is still the same one as when I started this thread (Athlon XP 1900+, 768MB RAM). Only 2 things have changed up to this point. The first, which is noticeable when I bumped from 1024x768 to 1280x960 (this was when I got a new video card [Upgrade from ATI 8500 to ATI 9800 Pro]). My computer is still a clunker and I hope to upgrade soon, primarily because of Doom 3. I may quit FFXI to play that some. The second change was the settings for taking pictures. I'm not quite sure what I did, but it seems the image quality of the pictures have gotten better. Hope this helps.


Misc. Pics!
First one is post-battle vs Genbu x 2. The NAs on the server wanted to try killing him so I tagged along to help & give advice. The first battle was a slaughterfest. Very very bad. The 2nd fight was a lot better but the way he was fought was very different from what I was used to. Very interesting way in battling him, that's for sure. This group fought him via Kiting him. I'm used to brute force PLD tanking (my HNM LS).

The second pic is another Fafnir battle. Good grief... Another Ridill! Too bad I'm not a melee job. We've been getting frequent Ridill drops and sooner or later, we're gonna have to free lot on them or something... Oh wells. Dynamis - Bastok up next.
