I apologize if this has been asked in the thread before, but I have some questions to ask you about your server and how many HNM linkshells there are out there.

As you know, most HNM's spawn on a 21-24 hour timer, so they progressively work their way earlier and earlier. Most HNM's will start in an NA primetime with server resets (I don't know why S-E chooses downtime and resets during NA time) My question to you is this. How many HNM linkshells do you see on your server generally. I'm fairly new to fighting HNMs and there are 4 NA linkshells on my server, and at least 3-4 non-NA linkshells that hunt HNMs viciously. Do you have these problems on your server as well? My linkshell doesn't have the airpass yet (working on it in the next week and a half) so we're stuck with the cycle of Serket » Simurgh » Bune » Roc » LOO.

Do you find that on your server there are as many high end linkshells that are competing for pulls? I've found that I'm losing interest in the game with how dirty some of these players will be with having Beastmasters pulling mobs and plopping them down in front of people, and even training mobs on alliances fighting HNM's as well. I've been in one instance where my alliance had Bune claimed and down to 1/2 health and someone from a competing LS somehow cast dia during one of those windows where mobs are frequently coming unclaimed and we couldn't damage the mob but still had to heal the tanks and mages pulled aggro and we ended up wiped. Do you see this happen on your server ever?

Mageling: Umm... We only have 1 true NA HNM Linkshell on our server. There's another one that's mixed NA/JP. Then the rest are just JP Only. The JP Only ones go for the big guns HNMs, not rinky dink Simurg, Bune, etc. We're mainly only interested in the Abjurations. :angel: So from my viewpoint no, we do not compete with other LS's. However, I do know that the NA HNM LS & the mixed one are cutthroat vs each other. Just ask Nnep. Other than that, all the other LSs respect each other and its friendly competition.

PrOBy_: BSTs are rare in HNMs altogether, but they can add to the mix here and there whether through calling their own beasts or removing links.

Buzzz: videos? no, I don't do videos. Since my game already runs in high res, it would be overkill on my PC to do a video based on 1280x960 resolution.

Ahh the legacy. We'll on our server most of the higher NA (not including fal because he beat us all there) were all together in one shell at the time. It was a mixed NA/JP shell and we had alot of fun, it was very popular and grew quite fast. Our leader, Kurei, who there are many mixed emotions about, basically showed us the ropes and what the world of HNM's were all about. His payment system was a bit flawed i guess you could say, some got payed, but the majority didn't. After awhile many NA got fed up and left, which is understandable. Some people hold grudges, others don't. The ones who left started a new shell which is actually doing pretty well to my suprise, they've shown lots of progress, although now we find our selves both counter-camping each other quite frequently. Old rivalry gets stired up, and lots of crazy ulterior motives go back and forth. As an old friend of mine said there is no such thing as friendly competetion anymore. So basically the situation still lies there today, and more drama will unfold as time goes on. Sorry to go off topic but that's the story of how the situation came to be regarding Mageling's question. Now back to Screenshots

edit: To answer your question a little more in depth, yes i see quite a bit people that bring mobs and bind them next to the people fighting the HNM. Also the classic dia the adds after the BLM's sleep them (i hope i'm not giving any of you ideas). Yes it's quite crazy but as long as there will be money, or "GIL" in this case, there will be betrayal and hate between people.

Man.. don't make me feel bad. It wasn't a slam against you guys (or any NA HNM LS for that matter). Its just I guess I'm spoiled cuz all my LS goes after are the ones that drop Abjurations or rare/ex stuff.

I guess I should finally register an account since everyone I know on the server posts here. Its a shame what happened with kurei's ls, but with a lot of us getting paid maybe 1/10th of what we should have, and no money for months at a time, it was bound to happen. Honestly if I didn't have friends in that ls I would have been tempted to steal behemoth when it went yellow the other day. Its too bad what happened, the worst part is that it will continue to. Kurei has an almost endless stream of naive NA players hitting 60 that will be tempted by HNM's and the promise of money.

Don't worry silver, we'll get there eventually. We've got a good group of people now, we just need to get everyone some levels

*Phew* Just finally got to the end of the thread! Spent about 5 hours yesterday at work just viewing all the great pics and reading all the interesting convo (especially about the HNM LS's)

I had recently found out about Fafnir and wanted to see pics. First thing that came to mind: check Faluzure. And sure enough he'd already taken care of it!

haha! Thanks for the compliments! I got lucky with Fafnir because our LS normally doesn't camp him. However recently... the competing LS that hunts Fafnir started walking on our HNM grounds. So now we walk into theirs Its all friendly though because we all know each other. I'm sure there's a couple ppl we don't like but we don't disrespect them. Anyway, I knew you guys wanted the Fafnir pics and I'm glad to supply them.

As for the Kirin pics, I decided I"m going to split them into 3 different posts. The Pre-fight (a handful), the battles (we fought him twice, HUGE # of pictures), and post fight (handful). I'll start with the pre-fight pictures either today or tomorrow.

Thanks again and I"ll try to get this forum back on topic. It seems to have strayed from the main purpose of this thread.

PS, does it really take that long to read through this thread? I heard many newcomers say it takes several hours... If so, I feel sorry for those who haven't kept up!
