To Serial Rain: Oh crap. Good thing I reread this thread before hopping to bed. 1st of all, thanks for the comments. I'm glad everyone's pleased with the shots as I really do this for you guys ( I don't really need to take screenies for myself ) But yeah, I got good shots of the Adaman Armor. A bunch of JP PLDs are wanting this because well... Paladin AF is worn since level 60. They want something new and the cursed AF (as well as AF2) is much more difficult to get. So I'll get these up sometime soon.

To Ka1'E1: Hmm. JSE for RDM is really weird. RDM is middle of the road (melee & magic), so there's actually 2 kinds of upper level armor RDMs can wear. They can wear either the stuff I have on (Errant set) or one more suited for melee (similar to the Cardinal Vest). Anyway, I'll look around a bit and try to get this up (as well as DRG shots). If you looked back a little bit, there's a cursed armor a DRK is wearing. It's the Crimson Scale armor. The DRG can wear that too. If you can't find it, I'll repost it. Actually come to think of it... one of my Aspidochelone HNM shots has a group shot of everyone with high level armor. I'll get that up for you soon too.

To Charity: I'm still looking for that 2nd Hume model. There was an NPC with that model but... I'd rather not cheat. I'll find you a real one.

I have already looked at those pictures, that is what intrigued me to find out more about the different places! The pictures that they give you aren't that great a quality and they don't show you that much in them, soooooooo.....I was thinking, with your expertise, you could take a few shots of the cities and towns!

BCNM60 - Uggalepih
I had some spare time, so I thought I'd post these two BCNM 60 pics. I thought I took several, but it appears I only took these two. To the right side, you'll notice the alliance I'm in. BCNM is only with 6 people, so although it shows I'm in an alliance, only 6 of us entered at one time. What we did was each of us took a BCNM60 orb and rotated out a person until all the orbs were used. When the BCNM was completed, the person who submitted the orb lots on all the items. However, if there's an item that one particular person needs, he would lot on it also and pay the owner of that orb if he won. For example, I got a thunder ore and although I'm doing goldsmithing as my craft, the ability to use the thunder ore in crafting would require me to be above level 70. So another person lotted on it and paid me the current AH price.

Overall, I got the most valuable items out of the group. I made about 600K that night. :spin: If you have any questions about this, let me know.

As for the other SSs that people are requested, they are WIP (work in progress).

Crap. FFXIOnline was fubar earlier today. It was quite unresponsive, so that's why I had a triple post.

Anyway... I forgot what I got exactly, but I do know the main items were a Thunder Ore (320,000 gil) and a Torque for Bards (Wind Instrument) that sold for 270,000 gil. The rest were just random items selling from 2,000 - 10,000 gil.

To Knell: For BCNM60 @ The Sacrificial Chamber (Den of Rancor), the PT consisted of Thief/Ninja, Dark Knight/Thief, Warrior/Ninja, Blackmage/Whitemage, Whitemage/Blackmage, Bard/Whitemage. For nearly all BCNMs at this level (including mission BCNMs), you sleep all the NMs and bash each down one at a time. So mostly what I did was Sleep, Sleepga, Sleep 2, Sleepga 2, Stun, Silence and occasional healing. I casted elemental spells only when it was time to magic burst. My mana is much more important to keeping the NMs out of battle rather
than go all out nukes.

As for this particular BCNM, the only dangers you have is the Ninja and the Summoner NMs. Each have their two hour and Astral Flow *can* kill you if you don't have nearly maxed out HP. Mijin Gakure is a little bit less dangerous than Astral Flow, but can smoke you down nevertheless. (Oh and by the way, Mijin Gakure on NMs doesn't suicide them... It just moves them to a different location within the area. I guess the good thing is they can't use it again.)

As for Orc BCNM60... Its um... well... not as popular for several reasons. The BCs I'm talking about are Waughroon Shrine (Quadav), Balgas Dais (Yagudo), and Horlais Peak (Orc).
1) The prizes aren't nearly as valuable as compared to the other BCNM60 counterparts.
2) Each of these BCNMs have 6 NMs compared to the ones in the other areas which have 4 NMs.
3) Also, getting to these locations are a little easier than getting to the Cloister of Tides, Chamber of Oracles, Sacrificial Chamber, and the new BCNM60, QuBia Arena.

got any kirin pic?

i was wondering if you had any kirin pics if that is the correct spelling of the nm. one of my ls members watched king Behometh slay some people trying to kill it when one of the lower lvls said that there was one stronger then him and it was kirin. i though behometh was the strongest nm there was. thanx for the pic if you can get some.

Low level players are mistaken, as I've heard many people say that "KB is the strongest creature in the game." KB definitely does have a reputation, but he is an equivalent to the other "hyper" HNMs found in FFXI. "Hyper" HNMs will drop an abjuration which is required to uncurse various Cursed Artifact armors.

Here's a list of current HNMs that will drop abjurations:
Open Vana'diel areas include: King Behemoth, Aspidochelone, Fafnir, & Nidhogg.
Gods of Vana'diel include: Suzaku, Genbu, Byakko, Seiryu, & Kirin.

Each of those listed above are just as mean as KB. However, I think the reason many lower level players say that he's the "strongest NM in the game" is because of his meteor spell ability. Meteor itself can kill/wipe out masses of people at a time. If KB takes too much damage, he'll bust out with meteor and you cannot stop it. So if you see meteor being cast, all you can do is run. Because of this, you cannot perform skillchains on him as well as multi Black Mage magic bursts as easily as you can on the other HNMs. Black Mages are without a doubt the key job to kill these types of HNMs.

As for Kirin... No, not yet. Kirin can only be fought if you have the items required to spawn him. Even though I'm in a very strong JP HNM LS, it still takes a while to obtain all the items (even for veteran FFXI players.) I posted how to get him in another thread, so I will just copy & paste what I wrote there as a reply.

How to obtain a battle with Kirin:
Complete 13 of the 16 Zilart missions to access Tu'Lia. After that, you have to get a team of 17 other players to go with you who can go to Tu'Lia. Then you gotta fight several NMs located in various spots in Ru'Aun Gardens to get "seasonstones" & Gems of North/South/East/West to be able to fight a God.

Each God is spawned by certain combinations of the gems & stones. When you fight the God (North/South/East/West), you get a God's Seal. Each God will definitely drop a seal but they dont always drop the trademark equipment. Then you have to trade all four seals to get Kirin to appear.

This is a process that can take months because not even my JP LS goes to Tu'lia more than once a month.
