I would have thought so. For BLM at least. But I wouldn't know.

well elemental skill contributes greatly to the resist factor against mobs..

I'm just wondering what his resist rate is like at that level

Obviously its favorable since you can afford to ditch the staff in favor of the extra int..

and if you were a taru.. would your decision be the same?

I didn't get the Demon Cloak (HQ version of Black Cloak) because I'm so close to getting the Errant set. Exactly 14000xp away. I should make that in 1 or 2 sittings.

Mizar, I get about the same damage output & effectiveness from both pieces on average. However the wand always produces slightly higher damage than the staff. BUT the reason i have both is because my WS in Staff is so much higher. Remember, I have 3 different weapons for 3 different situations. So if I were to solo a mob or NM, I'm sure as heck not going to pick the club because I don't do that much damage in attacks + WS on club.

Hey guys. Just to let you know, I have a handful of pics to post from this weekend. Plus, I blew about 500K more cash on various equipment & stuff. However, what I'm about to show you has offset that amount, so I didn't lose any money from my "Peacock Charm" fund.

So I leave you with a picture of an item I got over the weekend (actually I got both items you see in the screenshot, but 1 is rare/ex). My lots were both in the upper 900s.

So... You'll probably hate me even more (if you don't already because of the Peacock Charm). Will post the rest of the screenies on Monday or Tuesday. Off to bed!

Well, this isn't the biggest. My largest was like 1298 without cheating (using Ancient Magic). The reason I say cheating is because Ancient Magic is high damage output capable at low levels. Thus an upper level 55 BLM can burst for what's capable at level 60s or 70s using normal magics. However, it takes a long time to cast plus eats up mana galore. The spells around my level range will burst for the same amount for a lot less mana. (There are specific reasons at why you would use Ancient Magic in a battle, but I won't write that here.. that's not the purpose of this thread.)

I don't normally take SSs of my magic bursts because the damage amount shows up after the pretty effects are gone. Anyway, here's an example of what I'm capable of on average. Typically I do mid 1200s in damage.
