Work has been busy and I had one of the worst things happen to me over the weekend. So I'm not feeling too good about it and I'd rather not talk about it at the moment. I'll try my best to post those pictures ASAP. Please bear with me... Sorry again.

To Cutiepii: There's a hume monk on my server (NA) who has almost the entire set. I dont' know if Monk AF2 is that great, but there is another NA on my server that is decked out with nearly the best equipment you can get for monk. He's a member of Ascension and he's a nice guy. My LS helped him gain one of the items needed for the Black Belt quest.

Hmm, AF2 in-game, I can't do. I don't know anyone with a full set. Full Koenig? I got a few of partial Koenig. Most members of my LS has all but one piece (but I never took a picture of them). I can give you what I have, which are various people on our server from way back. Relic 2/3, I'm not so sure. I don't ever check people's equipment in game.

As fer takin time off…that I can understand, I get bored with it everyone in awhile, but im to addicted to stop playin, …one of me friends just recently left for WoW, and tried to get me to come with him. To Samar: Yeah, I know how it is to be cocky & be high level. I've seen it in Warcraft, Starcraft, and a bunch of other online games. People generally have a tendency to show off if they happen to be successful. If this weren't true, then why do rich people have like, 10+ cars & such? You're not the first person to tell me I've been one of the first high level players that is nice. I do my best to keep my ego in check because you don't get anywhere walking over people & bragging.

I'm not quitting, don't worry. This weekend's sudden turn of bad luck has made me continue to pursue the game a little bit longer. Thanks for the kind words though. As I have said (as well as others), if you're not having fun, take a break.

To Eragon: Hey man, thanks for your support. I don't think that retort at Dua was necessary. Yes he did something wrong in my own thread and yes it may have been misinterpretation, but let him be. I find out he is in fact a leader, but he is not the voice of the linkshell as a whole. His opinions do not reflect that of the LS (otherwise Nasya, Liefe, & Silverblood would have sided with him.) We all just want to put this behind us. He's probably too proud to apologize, but it doesn't matter if he does or doesn't. I'm sure he's smart enough to not post again, as conflict avoided is better in the long run. Besides, it is resolved between myself, Silverblood, and Nasya in-game. As for Dua, there's a reason why there's that quote "you reap what you sow." Just leave him be.

As for WoW, how the heck did you get it already? It's not supposed to be on sale until tomorrow. T_T I'm still narrowing down either Eastern Time Zone or Central Time Zone servers.

To Justarius: Thanks for the compliments. CoP is a bitch to go through and not everyone is interested. I'm trying to finish it, but when you're the only one interested in it in your LS (or you're behind everyone else), there's not a whole lot of people you can rely on.

As for the jealousy thing, I don't know if I'd call it that. Ascension is an HNM LS and as an HNM LS, you have dreams and wish to accomplish things. It is almost impossible to have a utopian framework of HNM Linkshells. Seriously, how many HNM Linkshells do you know on other servers that share HNMs & loot with each other? My LS is one of the few I've ever heard of to have a sharing alliance with several others. It was only time before others would decide to come after the HNMs we share. Again, let's drop this and move on, shall we?

Random pictures to tide you over while I'm prepping the Promathia Mission screenshots.

For some reason, I always forget to take pictures of Dynamis. I think it is just because it is too hectic to keep pressing the screencapture key periodically. Those two pictures were over the last 2 Dynamis runs. Dynamis is really making me upset. Unlike other players on our server, I have 2 level 75 jobs and I'm about to have 1 more soon. The problem is, I want AF for each of them but I can only choose 1 prior to entering Dynamis. For the past 6 months of Dynamis, I always happen to choose an AF that never drops and the last one was no exception. I chose BLM AF2 gloves for Dynamis Windurst (despite knowing the Zenith Mitts are better) and the SMN AF drops instead with only 1 SMN with us. At this rate, I'll never get any AF.

The Fafnir pictures are just pics of the drops. I know many people like to see the drops we get so... here it is. Not a bad set in my opinion. I wish I was a high level thief or warrior for the Ridill though.

I got to 49 this weekend, and close to 50. I had a great PT in Western Altepa Desert, half JP and half NA players. The setup was SMN/WHM, SMN/WHM, BLM/WHM, RNG/NIN, THF/NIN (me), and NIN/WAR. The NIN kept hate very well, even without my SATAs (I would SATA onto the RNG at the beginning of each fight and he'd grab hate back before her Utsusemi wore off). The PT leader could speak pretty decent English, and she told us that the NIN said we were very good players. That made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. ^___^ And now I love SMNs; Hastega and Ecliptic Growl own.

Also tried to do mission 5-1, but we died when the boss had a tiny little sliver of life left; it was so close! :dead: Oh well, I'm still only 1700 exp away from 50. Now I just need to get my Ancient Papyrus.... At any rate, can't wait to see the Promathia pics!

Ridill so rare hehe.. out of 30~ Fafnir kills we got 4. 2 in the same week.

Fal, as to answer your request here goes. The reason I was able to play WoW before its primary release, is because i subscribed to the open beta, so that I was able to play with some acquaintances ASAP. Its got a very neat vibe to it, and i think that you will enjoy it very much. Being that you played WCIII and FT, i can say that while they have implemented the same cartoonish graphics stylings, i am particularly liking it very much. I think that you will too. I am taking a fast liking to it, however to me, it doesnt compare to FFXI. But, being that you have grown a tad bored of the game, i would not find it hard for you to like it more than that of FFXI.

Also, I wanted to apologize for the stupidity of my hasty action insulting Dua. While i still think hes an asshole and deserves a nice beating, i guess its not my business to interfere with. And about you having a bad week. . . dont worry, time heals all wounds. Remember when i got my eurytos bow and strider boots stolen by a friend? Well i was certainly was depressed, it actually made me appreciate and realize what i truely play this game for, the social interaction, and the friends you make along the journey to greatness. So, in essence i have a feeling this misfortune will actually make you appreciate what you have a little bit more. Now im not implying that your unappreciative, im just attempting at giving you a positive outlook on a saddening aspect of your life. So hope all is well with you Fal, as well as everyone else. May everyone stay happy, healthy, and prosperous.

Hey Fal, I just got my paper for genkai 1! Lore just soloed some Liches for me; we got it one after about 4-5 of them. As I type this I'm sitting on the airship to Windy to grab my exo mold and coal out of storage so I can go give Maat his stupid items.

To Saizen: Sorry I didn't answer you sooner, I reread a few pages to see if I missed anything and it so happens I missed your post. If you mean a regular JP LS (social), then it is because I met a few Japanese players frequently on my path to level up BLM. As for the HNM one, plain and simple is my job and the demand for BLMs at the time in HNM Linkshells. If you don't remember, there were only three NAs that were level 70+ on my server, two of us being a BLM. To tell you the truth, both of us got recruited into the same HNM LS, but he quit and cancelled his account shortly thereafter. I'm sure any of you that are in a HNM LS, you know that there is never "too many mages". Tank & melee only need to make a small % of HNM roster. Once you have 3-4 tanks and a couple other damage-dealing melee job, the rest of the alliance is filled with mages. I think it would be safe to say they are the backbone of an HNM LS.

To SlizenDize: The general rule for our Dynamis LS is that you choose one job's AF or you choose the 100-currency item prior to entering. The respective leaders record who wants what. While this may be unfair for me, who has several level 75 jobs, it is argued that it is fair for everyone. Their point is, why should 1 person be able to have a chance at more than one AF while another person (with only 1 level 75 job) can lot only on one. By reducing everyone's lot choice on 1 piece only, you are fair to everyone. This of course... has been my curse for Dynamis. I know it sounds like I'm whining, but all the times AF dropped for my jobs, I've either lotted a low lot (which is common) or I already requested another AF instead.

As for you joining our LS, you'll have to submit your name when you meet the required level and if we have room, we'll add you to the roster.

To Vinen: Hmm.. I heard that but we've gotten quite a few Ridill drops compared to what is reported by other people on other servers. As for Koenigs, it pretty good as well. Personally, I think they all drop at a fair rate. Sometimes one will drop more than another, but if you take a look at all the drops we get over a month's time, it is pretty spread out evenly.

To Mephisto: Yes, we are dominant but not in a way you would think. Let me explain you the situation on our server. There actually quite a few HNM Linkshells on the server, but only a few of them (both NA & JP) try for HNMs other than Ru'Aun Gardens Gods. NAs only make up a small % of what there is (there are only four). However, only three of the four NA HNM linkshells hunt HNMs other than Ru'Aun Gardens Gods. The fourth linkshell only puts forth their time to doing Ru'Aun Gods and nothing else (which can get very old). So, I don't consider Ru'Aun Gardens-Only Linkshells to be a major player on our server, because after all... they are so easy to obtain and involve no competition whatsoever due to the way you trigger their spawn. Camping an NM/HNM (Bune, Cassie, Roc, Simurgh, Serket, etc.) involves competition and requires patience. Plus, it demands a lot of time from the members, which many players on FFXI do not have. Many of the JP Linkshells are like that also. They primarily dedicate themselves to Ru'Aun Gardens Gods and Kirin. King Behemoth is pretty much open ground, as you cannot hold him for several hours very easily.

The reason it appears my LS is dominant is due to a combination of things. As many of you know, Japanese players are able to hold an NM/HNM for a more convenient spawn for themselves. This drives many players (both NA/JP) crazy, especially when they do not have such time to waste. My LS is no exception. By doing so, we have eliminated quite a bit of competition in the past. This is how we dominate Adamantoise/Aspidochelone. Furthermore, we have formed an alliance with several HNM JP linkshells to create a close-knit community of players. We aim to help each other out as well as to obtain Rare/EX items. This in turn eliminates competition for an HNM, which benefits all groups participating. This is how we are able to control Adamantoise/Aspidochelone/Fafnir/Nidhogg on a daily basis. Those that are not good friends with us may attempt to claim these HNMs, but they are usually driven out since our "alliance" is so big. It is all us friends watching for each other despite having different linkshells, that is why you see so many Koenig, Ridills, etc. on different people. It used to not be this way, so this alliance is fairly recent. This is in my opinion, the best way to obtain what you want in the game on my server. There is indeed priority on who gets what, but eventually that need will be met and the next abjuration will go to the next qualifying person. Now many of my NA friends have asked me if they can have a certain abjuration. I'm not the leader, so I'm not sure how welcome the other members are to the idea. I know we give it out to our friends, but all our friends happen to be Japanese. It is something I need to bring up though because I am a member of the alliance, just as my fellow linkshellmates. I have the same privileges they do and my friends (despite they are NA) should be no different.
