Do you know if the Jump TP bonus is the same on each piece of the Barone gear?

My LS leader (a DRG 72) just got the shorts (which look suspiciously like beach bum/surfer shorts), and he was highly impressed with the TP return off his jumps.

I think he said he was getting around his lance return while wielding a Hornet Fleuret (skillupping for Spirits Within a few days back), and 30%+ when using his Colossus.

I'd imagine all the boosts are similar, and if they are, I shudder to think how much TP return a DRG with the full set could get off his jumps.

To amastacia: It should be a fixed TP gain on all the pieces unless specified by a number. That's just my speculation. I mean after all, there are other pieces that have a similar vague statement and they accumulate (Enhances "Fast Cast" effect - RDM AF Hat & AF2 Body). So yes, if they do indeed stack, that would make Dragoon very powerful (plus they can shed all the hate using their highest jump). Dragoons needed this though... because they have been lacking in equipment and usefulness for quite some time. However, it is important to know that Jump TP Gain is only available on the Corazza and the Cosciales. The others are just Enmity, Parrying, and Attack. So based on what you said, he should be gaining tops of 60% TP with both pieces using the Colossus.

However, it *is* safe to say that the price of the Corazza will stay high. Its rare ingredient is the Molybdenum Sheet, which requires a Molybdenum Ingot. There is an LS on my server that continually kills Tiamat (who is known to drop the Molybdenum Ore). Each ore has sold for 3 million a pop at the AH. Traditionally it takes 4 ore to make 1 ingot. So... do the math. ~_~

Edit: I just talked to my LS mate with both pieces. He said that the TP gain is about 1-2 points per jump. So with both pieces, you gain about 2-4 points per jump. So however many points you get with your standard weapon, add 2-4 points if you have both pieces per jump. That's not a whole lot, but better than nothing.

More Fafnir Shots
The Fafnir Alliance ran out of BLMs (one regular didn't show up). So since my LS is in alliance with another to monopolize this beast on a daily basis, they called me to take part of the team. These are pics of that event. One of the screenshots is just a small clip of the burst damage we were doing. Being an Elvaan, I shouldn't have done the most damage, but I was. The other BLMs were Hume with nearly identical equipment. So poop on those of you who say Elvaans suck as BLMs. As for being resisted, I got very little (I have 0 merit points in Elemental Magic Skill up). Apparently Fafnir didn't like me bursting for 1222 repeatedly (more than the other BLMs), so he started biting me. That wasn't very nice... I almost died several times, critical for 500+ isn't nice either. :sweat:

it's great to see a high level galkan mage. btw, you wouldn't happen to know if that was his first high level job or anything would you? i'm half tempted to start a galka brd just for kicks.

lol yea i stopped ladder after TFT came out but yea i remember the days of clan noobless and u were up along the lines with Marn =P cept u were nicer lol

having a 90% record and still remained top ranked was great accomplishment, still think u were one of the best in the "old school" days

A level 75 WHM in one of my LSs was saying she might have to go to Ru'Lude and Raise III a bunch of people at one point; glad things got better. Grats on Dynamis-Jeuno, a successful exp party, some Fafnir kills (or was it just one Fafnir?), and grats on the righteous smiting of a certain tentacular horror, even if she is selfish.

Dynamis-Windurst is supposed to be the hardest of the initial four. I'm interested to see how it goes for you guys on your next run. I wish you luck.

Tiamat drops 3 million gil ore? And here I was believing "popular opinion" that all three of the dragons drop nothing of value. Maybe Vrtra or Jormungand drops Cashmere Wool? If that fetches a similar price tag, I can see my JSE body costing ... *does math* *faints* Uh, let's just say more than I'd have if I sold every other item I own.

I think she will try again this weekend, hope she wins.
Can't convince her to solo a pot, so it seems I'll have to get my WHM (only 1800 into 73 because I keep dying... ) to help her out.
Funny thing is, she has a Mythic Wand... But no Enfeeble Torque. Must convince her to get one.

To neighbortaru: Are you kidding? We look cool in M.C. Hammerpants. Sheesh, we look good in anything! As for the Galka, I'm not sure if that was his first job. I do know he is also a level 75 Ranger and has at Summoner and Ninja to at least 37.

To RyuujinXD: I too quit shortly after TFT came out. I played just as long as I could (I was already feeling the burnout of the game). I got both of my 2v2 AT teams to rank 1 & 2 respectively in TFT. After WCG, I retired officially. As for Marn, his "assholish" attitude was just show. I knew him on a personal level and he really wasn't anything he was known for.

To Dnallan: I went and got it this morning. So right now I have a WP for the following people: Fafnyr (Eragorn), Dnallan, and Xilldon. To Vilurum: Thanks! The Fafnir kills were 2 separate ones. I'm sure you know by now that we kill it daily. I know Ascension has tried a couple times with a few bad outcomes. You really should come to the Dynamis events. Not only I have said it but those that were part of the original NA Dynamis team even say that this group is a lot better. I know the Bard AF2 sucks, but it is still fun to attend in these server-wide events.

Dynamis Windurst is supposed to be hardest. We only tried it once (with the original group). A small mishap made us lose it, but I'm pretty sure we'll do great.

And yeah, it has been confirmed that Tiamat drops the Molybdenum Ore required for the Barone recipes. Not only do the people on our server confirm it, but screenshots of JPs killing Tiamat have also confirmed it. As for Vrtra and Jormundgand, I don't know anyone who has killed these two. I think one LS has, but I don't recall what dropped. That Cashmere Cloth... Woo.. Haha. I don't even know what to say.

To Nixie: Hey Nixie. Yes yes yes, Red Mage is all about MND stats. Too many Red Mages concentrate on INT stat because they like to nuke (which is not bad, but much of the success of sticking enfeebling magics rely on MND). Furthermore, YES. Tell her to ditch that Elemental Torque and go with the Enfeebling Torque. Or better yet, keep both if she wants to swap back and forth between Enfeebling and Nuking. That Enfeebling Torque is a Godsend for helping us RDMs stick enfeebles on mobs. You don't *need* it vs Maat but it sure will help.

She can solo sooo easy... T_T Tell her to get the new gear and then she will notice a difference.

Thanks! Dynamis is hella easy now. Our new group is doing great! Still, not many mage AF has dropped though.

To Koroco: Well, it isn't only me that wants it. Several people in my LS want it... I mean look at the stats. It is exactly like a Serket Ring except that it also gives +1 INT & MND. If it weren't Rare/EX, I guarantee you that this thing would sell for at least 3 million on the AH (Serket goes for 1.2M) because of how rare it is as well as the 2 stat bonuses. I estimate this price because I've hunted this b***h for about 6-7 times already and never got anything rare except a Marlboro Thread. My LS has fought him a few more times when I couldn't make it. I'm beginning to think this is as rare as the Kraken Club or something because I've only known 1 person to have this ring.
