If I were a graphics professional, $700 would be nothing but an investment. If I was an amateur, I would look elsewhere.

I appreciate your concern, but I have more important concerns at the moment than paying for software I use maybe once or twice a month. If I were actually making a profit off of it, or planned on using it more seriously I would purchase a liscense.

My moral compass is working perfectly fine.

'Course, I was never afraid of clowns (not even It), and I can be a bit of a clown myself, though I'd loathe to be associated with evil. But that's off topic. In fact, this whole thing's off-topic: the only "topic" to be had here is somebody making fantasy character art for interested persons.

If you don't need it, why did you bother stealing it?

I'll be the first to say that copyright law is horribly, horribly broken right now, and has been for a long time. The internet is highlighting this issue.

However, disagreeing with the morals of individuals that produce copyrighted works does not give you the right to take said works. I don't believe that people should charge money for food-- but I would never walk into a grocery store and swipe snacks.

I personally have no software worth money on my computer. Everything is 100% gratis-- and the makers intended it that way. And for whatever it is you're doing in photoshop if you're enough of an idiot to pirate it and only use it once a month, he same or similar quality can probably be got in GIMP. Hope you do realize how easy it is to track cracked software, though. Is a piece of software you don't need worth thousands of dollars in legal fees and settlement costs?

i think the problem though is that it's so wide-spread now, whether it's software, movies, games, or especially music=( anyone who gets caught would probably be like 'i'm not paying a dime til you do the same to everyone else'

i'm not sure=( but i only have 1 more game to draw for before i start the entire list allll over again. the list is 10 games long. once the list starts over, FFXI could be anywhere from chosen immediately to chosen last. i keep the game selections random too=) all in all though, it'll run real slow, unfortunately. but worry not, for i shall definitely PM any winners, so you don't have to bother with this thread if you don't like=)
