great jobs there! awesome and i do hope you become a comic artist!

Tatsuhito: it's common that one artist can have many styles. especially if they do it with pencil (b&w) or do it in computer (CG). that happens to my works.
although it's nice you brought it up, just in case they are stolen.

yinpalm, you have a rather nice temper. (guess that have to do with being mature) not all the artists could accept that type of doubts. I still want to see more of your drawings.

Yeah theres a big difference in Pencilled work and finished work, often i don t like the results, but hey what can you do. As far as a temper why get mad? maybe it does come with age, but i mean hes not really slighting me, hes basically saying he doesn t believe i can draw that well, ill take it as a compliment. I, as an artist would find it weird to try to claim anothers works as my own
I dunno, If i claimed someone elses art i don t think i could call myself an artist.... I mean what would be the point in fake posting? i don t get payed for it, nothing to be gained by it either
Well thanks for the compliments, I m pondering what type of Pic to do next.... And (SHOCK) I may try to do it with a different style! Something darker... tho recently thats hard for me to accomplish....

yinpalm, my hat goes off to you. Your skill is very professional considering the fact that you are self-taught. Coming from an animator in the gaming industry you could make a nice living as a conceptual artist or character conceptual artist. But some fundamental training in proportion of the human figure may it be fantasy or realistic would make these drawings even more breath taking and help you with some real dynamic poses to make these creations even pop out of the paper, or screen even more. Here is a site for any aspiring artist (www.finart.sk) that will help with proportion and overall human anatomy. Also yinpalm you handle yourself well in a critique environment with both the positive and the negative feedback. Which is a true sign of a well-established artist. Keep it up and put more up its always great to see awesome pieces of art.....

Thanks for the information, and feed back. How does one get into the conceptual designer gig anyway? Well reardless, I ve actually studied anatomy and proportion, ( Self taught) but i think that adhering too strictly to these rules makes pictures often more boring,
the full color one with the Mithra and hume i did first , and its proportion is more accurate, but i think its also more boring.
So, when i did the galka and elvaan i purposefully bended the rules, and used more forshortening, though i didn t use the technical method of forshortening (perspective points etc) I still think those pictures look a lot more interesting than my Hume/mithra pic.
I can however see that you might find the lack of"true forshortening" to be flaw, Well to make an omelette sometimes you have to break some eggs,
Im actually working on another pic right now, it may be a while before i post it, then again it may not

            wow, that's a great site!

and for the proportion, I think you should bend the rule in certain situations, 'cuz drawing is 2D, but real life is 3D, there are certain things cannot be present in 2D unless being changed around.

anyway, you've been drawing for 5 years?

yinpalm, very well defended and looking at it again you are right and the foreshortening is a little off but it still rocks, as for getting into the industry. I am sure you have a portfolio of your best works nicely put together in all kinds of poses and styles showing your versatility. Then get a resume even if you don't have any industry experience let your work speak for its self. Then you need to do some legwork send out copies of your portfolio to all sorts of companies with a cover letter, resume, and business card. Be persistent until they say go away or sure we would like to meet you. Another way is to go to conventions like Siggraph, E3, Game Developers Conference, and so on. These are great places to get your name out there and hit a lot of companies in one shot. Also its great to get feedback from the top dogs because criticism always leads to ten times the inspiration to do better. Also if you have a web site its a great way to get your name out and people like web site its easy to look at stuff and get back to you quicker. I hope this helps.

Thanks for the help man, I ll work on getting my portfolio together, most of my old stuff seems dated so I
'm probably gonna have to do a lot more stuff. No matter what job your trying for i guess its all about the hustle. hopefully soon i ll have some more work for all of you to see.
Anyhow your right a lil bit about the forshortening, my goal should be to try to make the peice look dyanmic without anyone realizing if i bended any rules, then again you can t please all the people.....
but ya gotta try, heh :D

When I'm wrong, I admit it. But, the basis of that assumption is reasonable. I, myself draw, and I can't stand the thought of someone taking my art and putting their name on it. The way the pics looked, to me, the whole thing seemed fishy. And I'm the type that's going to point that kind of thing out.

Anyway, I think I'll offer some criticism to the art work. It looks great. Great job with the armor and poses in the two black and whites. Although the Galka drawing is obviously unfinished, the face is the worst feature. The eyes are too wide, the nose could (and should) be smaller, and the pupils aren't going in the same direction. The hair could use work, too.

With the Elvaan, the left leg below the knee is too thin and the left breast looks a little awkward. The ears need more structure, and it seems like the left side of her face slants in too sharply. Again, nice job with shading, and metal shines and glares.

For the Taru, too thin. Tarus are more plump and slightly shorter. Decent coloring job. What program do you use? And what method, if PhotoShop?

For the final one, the faces could really use some work, again. The Female Hume's face, no offense, but it's awful. The Mithra's is ok, but it looks like she's in a cold dead stare with an object. And the detail has diminished in comparison to the two black and whites, not sure if that happened during the coloring process, or maybe it's the fact that the image had to be more compact for the two characters to fit. As far as the background, shoulda left it blank. It doesn't fit at all. In fact, it makes it look worse. And do me a favor and tell me what that icon is at the bottom right. Is it a tag from a web site you got the picture from? If so, bad move. Find a blank one next time. And by the way, I'm still not completely convinced that those are yours, but that's just me. If they are yours, you have some strange methods for editing the pictures after they're on a computer.

Ahhh the hatred is strong within this one my friends, Well i mean i could really try to defend my work, but the truth is regardless of what i think or why did some of the things i did, or the mistakes that may or may not be there. Its gonna come down to personal opinion. I myself really like the 2 pencil peices, The mithra and galka pic, i don t love as much,And i think the scaling down didn t really add to their faces in fact i thin k it looks better at full resolution, but again it comes down to opinion, as far as the insignia in the corner its a little fake insignia i made it says yinpalm, and the truthis if you believe me or not it doesnt matter, I know those are my works. As i said before i can see no reason why I would post others pictures as my own, thats really a rather laughable thin to do in my mind.
Well i ll post the insignia i made and a close up of the face so you can see, thoughits easily possible you could still not like it, maybe others will
