  • My own signature model

I was inspired by that Pyro Elf model, but I never liked simply taking it so I created my own, in a similar fashion but no sprites here.

What do you think? If you like it, I can link up to the Photoshop file, so you can use it as well

I wanted to do something that had the same kind of look as in game, so I created these rank bars for the jobs and whatnot. The dots are still more useful for some data thought, so I reused them.

Let me know what you think

I think it's a bit large, but it looks great.

Relic Armor. That's the job specific armor you get level 70+

By the way, FranckKnight, Good job on that. I like it.

          Re: My own signature model

That's way too huge . Also, White armor on White background looks crummy.

Image sizes used in the personal photo or signature area must be kept small! Please keep the images below 25 Kilobytes and no larger than 550 pixels wide and no taller than 350 pixels tall. Any images in the signature or avatars area going over 25 Kilobytes may be subject to being edited out. These limits apply to ONLY signatures, personal icons, and avatars of the vBulletin system under personal profile in your control center. 25K is A LOT for signuatures and personal photos, remember these images repeat over and over. So 25K picture X 10 posts in thread = 250K! And soon it can reach several megs! (Especially when your browser is stupid about caching the files.)
You know, reading it again, I need to fix my sig too. Blah.

            Re: My own signature model

I couldn't do it much smaller without sacrificing the font thought. I could probably shave a bit off the height thought.

I noticed that I forgot the craft section I wanted to put on it as well. I only ended up concentrating on the 'areas' instead. I wanted to put in the avatars as well, but I'll see if there's anyspace left without blowing it much later.

EDIT : Someone just pointed out that signatures should be under 550x350. Mine is still 500x300. Its big, but its still under the standard.

And the white background wasn't supposed to be white, it was actually off yellow on my other computer. No idea why its white on this computer. If you look closely its the Vanadiel map in the background, and on the other computer I made this picture on, it was more yellow and looked better.

Personally I'm not a fan. But if you like it, that's all that really matters. I hate busy sigs, and large sigs. So...yeah.

But hey, good work on it.

I was referring to file size, not dimensions. your sig is well over the size given

                  Re: My own signature model

We give a lot of leeway on that rule. Usually nobody notices to call you on it unless it's wallpaper-sized or a big animated gif.

But yeah, my preference is for something smaller. Yours looks good for what it is. I do see Feba's point about the light armor on light background.

                    Re: My own signature model

I made some changes to it (beside stat updates).

The characte ris gone, it was there to fill some empty space anyway, so now its slightly smaller.

Someone suggested I get rid of the 'boasting' sections, mainly the Inventory, Gobbiebag, and the outpost warps. He said that the rest said 'help me with this if you can' or 'do you need this?', which should be the point of a signature I suppose.

Added the crafts and avatars instead.

Can't really make it any smaller without sacrificing the ability to read that font, or it will turn into a personality-less arial XD

Try changing the style around so that it's longer and shorter.

Usually, long things look smaller than tall things.

                        Re: My own signature model

It is too large, and goes well beyond the forum rules for signature size.

(Yours does too Feba, if you could maybe shrink it down about 50%.)

                          Re: My own signature model

Here, brought it down another notch again. Its barely over 25k now.

The background quality isn't as good, but that isn't the important part of the signature of course. As long as the text is readable.

And reduced the size a tad, its about as small as it can be to stay readable I figure.

Here's a new version I came up with. I made it wider, and less tall. I think its a bit easier on the eyes like this.

What I like most about signatures like this is gazing at it once in a while, and realize how many filled dots there is :D

Each time I open it for edition, its such a pleasure to fill up more things done and levels gained
