This is really nice work. In particular, DragonsLight on your DeviantArt page reminds me of a genjuu (Phantom Beast) named Arinoru that I came up with for an FF6-based character's backround, largely due to the mixing of Western and Eastern style (I was having trouble visualizing him well, but had a general sense of what he'd be like that this image fits rather well).

I don't normally make requests like this, but I have to say this has gotten a couple of ideas into my head. One's a group pic that's probably way too complicated (we've got an RPLS w/ 4 major PCs, and several NPCs connected to each of them ), but I'm thinking about a Kumei/Kamiel pic that seems more reasonable...

Kumei is a Female Tarutaru, face 8-A (brown hair, double ponytail style), Large model. Usually seen wearing either a doublet or a harness, almost always subligar, and Bounding Boots. She usually has a serious or sullen expression.

Kamiel is a Male Tarutaru, face 8-B (blond-to-reddish hair, small ponytail in back), Medium model (so Kumei has a good inch on him ). Often in RDM AF1. Usually seems to have a cheerful but determined expression.

What I find myself imagining is that Kamiel is holding Kumei comfortingly, with a hopeful, encouraging expression, while Kumei looks at him with tears in her eyes and an expression suggesting that she's holding something back, afraid of what might happen.

Carbuncle, or a faded, ghostly image of him, should just be barely visible behind Kamiel (probably only the head makes it into the 'shot'). Moreover, the glowing aura surrounding Carbuncle is also surrounding Kamiel, and his face seems almost lit up by it. In contrast, Kumei has a somewhat dark, purple-ish aura about her, and little 'motes of darkness' float near her. Despite the fact that the description above nominally has her in her THF gear, she should probably have a black Greatsword across her back (e.g. Deathbringer), and this too should be surrounded by its own 'dark aura'.

As for setting, there are a number of places that could work, one that springs to mind is in Norg near the entrance simply because so much has happened in Norg recently. Another possibility is almost anywhere in The Sanctuary of Zi'tah, which is a significant place to Kamiel. A third that just occured to me is in the Emptiness inside the Crag of Holla, which is significant to Kumei for reasons difficult to explain.

...whew, that was a lot of detail for me. Oh well, guess I've been inspired lately. Hope the imagery is somewhat intriguing. I hope to see more of your work soon!

first off, your art is phonominal (spelling is for the weak!)
i really love everything from the line art to the final product.

but yes, on to my request.
i would like (if i may) to get a picture of a tarutaru DRK
standing over an elvaan PLD
(this happened in a 40 cap brenner when it first came out
and i was so proud of my self1v1)
i'm not sure the head number but its the one with blue long hair
pulled back
the elvaan had white hair which came to his shoulders
if it could be in full af 1 for both that would be
fantastic.

omigosh that'd make a really great pic! I don't normally do backgrounds, but since I'm not back in game, i can grab a number of shots for samples.

And sorry everyone for my disappearance. I just got back in game after a looooong break so had to do some catching up wtih my old friends and Siniroth (my boyfriend) had to take me around Al Zhabi (what a confuzing place). I participated in Dynamis-Jeuno (another win) but no drops for me bard (stupid shoes need to drop !!) and then XPed a bit in LuFaise Meadows where I redinged 75. I also unlocked Puppetmaster and leveled that to 9, and in the process of unlocking Blue Mage (such an annoying quest lol).

Also, on top of that, I just started summer school. Buuuut, I'll manage to get everything done. I'll work on coloring [GM]Dave when I get home from school tonight.

Wow /bow!!! I take of my hat for the OP. You are truly an artist, and I thank you for brining such a wonderful post to our community. Drawing is one of my biggest frustrations since, I love but I am terrible at it. My lifetime friend is a natural drawer, and I had to weep and cry as we grew up cuase he was always and still is (he is an arcitech now) and i just dont have the ability to draw.

Anyway, congratulations on your amazing talent.

And.............. my humble request, if you would be kind.

I an a hume summoner, I would like for you to do me a nice draging for my desktop, wearing full AF, with my penace hat, darkstaff,.....

I am a "lone wolf, and i like the dark, and the night,... the moon" I dont know if you can work something around that.

Hello! Here is my request, I hope it doesn't sound too complicated and I hope you have FUN while making this.

Tarutaru Male, Head Blue 6B i think
Bodytype is like Yinyang robe
Relic Smn pants
Relic Smn gloves
Relic SMN feet
Horn on head
Any staff on back (if too complicated remove)

all while riding on top of Fenrir and grabbing his 2nd set of head ears.
Carbuncle biting onto Fenrir's tail, while Fenrir is running.

You can make it funny if you want to make Fenrir with his tongue hanging out and wide looking eyes, as if Carbuncle's bite was hurting him.

Or You could draw a fishing pole for my smn to hold with Carbuncle wrapped up as bait, and fenrir chasing after Carbuncle, with my smn riding on Fenrir's back.

Whichever one you decide to do, just have fun doing it.
