Well, I finally decided it's time to be creative and put myself together a brand spanking new signature =) What do you all think?

I mean, yeah, that's just begging for attention. LOL
But seriously, any opinions are welcome... and criticism would help me tweak it in future edits.

The border I can definately agree with, however, I just looked up the font you recommended, Kagerou... I can't say I agree with that font choice for this sig design. I need something rougher to match the undertones of warrior spirit. I can't say my choice is the best either, since I had to go looking and after seeing the first few hundred fonts, they all kinda blur together lol. Would you happen to have any other fonts you could recommend?

Actually another concern I had with the design was that the the blending of the text over the background comes out a bit too dark to read easily... would you agree with me on that? It's something I'll change with the level 61 version when I get there, if so.

I tend to stay away from colored fonts. "I" would get rid of the 60 war/thf and 61 thf/war things because
1. Ur lvl and job will change constantly
2. It takes too much of the space

What I do with my texts is make it black/white and add a 1pt stroke using the blending options (making the stroke obviously the opposite color of the text). For ur background, I might try a black font with a white stroke and drop the opacity to around 80% or set the font to 100% soft light, duplicate the text, get rid of the stroke layer in the new font layer, and set the opacity to around 50%-70% in normal setting.

For grunge fonts, I use some default texts, or I use dark, morpheus(rarely), Abbadon, etc. check www.dafont.com and get a font style u like.

Just to add, "many" of my friends (and myself included), avoid fancy texts because they are harder to read in small size, or it distracts the work and the composition. That is why I like asenine and Base02 (or 4, forgot) a lot. Simple is the best.

EDIT: One more thing. Avoid using the same fonts over and over. After u choose a font for ur name, use a diferent font for ur extra quotes.

I really can't disagree that simplicity is key. I try to make use of it where I can, but editing is the key I use to unlock the door to simplicity XD. Anyway, thanks for your advice. I recognized the drawbacks to constantly changing material but was willing to accept it... but yeah, the background does really go to waste with that much text. I'll cut back on the job info and I'll put that stroke to work and see how it comes out.

And now that I totally forgot to hit the post button... The results will be added briefly. XD

Missed this yet. That might be the next edit. IMO it goes pretty well now.

Very nice, though the BG could use a little work, try using filters or brushes, or just default brushes you can download easily, though everyone needs to start somewhere.

Well, I was aiming for a certain effect, but it didn't really come out. More or less the image came out a bit grainy, being a screenshot and all, so I used the Angled Strokes filter and Gaussian Blur to give it a more artistic effect and cut back on the obvious noise in the background. I do however like the background for artistic reasons becasue a) Its lots of broken stuff, which fits the theme, b) its dark, yet again fits the theme, c) They're structures, and I'm an engineering student =P.

I'm going to take the time at some point to see if I can generate a better background, or perhaps enhance this one. For the moment I'm going to leave it alone until I get some inspiration for what to do, I guess.
