FFXI Contest FanArt

For a FFXI fanart contest that I found about very close to the ending date.. worked on this for 2 days, using only a small reference so I could get the facial position right. *__* The Hume Archangel is so gothy and sexy; I love him!

Some parts are ugly and you can see the strokes Damned deadline. I wish I had another week to add the other Archangels!

I wouldn't worry about the strokes if I were you... sometimes hiding that kind of stuff makes drawings become lifeless. I liked the fact that it was still possible to feel that a human hand constructed it from scratch. Congratulations, you have a fine piece of a fan art. Would you care to colour my drawings, hihi? *ok ok, I'll shuttup now

The highlight circle on the lower lip is to long, it shouldnt be spreading all the way to the right side since it doesnt fit with the over lip. If you just took away 1/3 of the right part highlight id believe the mouth more cous right now it looks like he took a knock in the face.

Raid: Thanks for the advice! Lips are -always- my weak point with faces.. >__<; I really need to take that portrait drawing class next term! *wishes she had another week to work on this picture >_<* At least the slight inaccuracy in the lips leads the viewer to spend more attention to the face and less attention on the sketchier parts of the image.

Bebio, good point, and thank you very much. You're so right.. sometimes looking at 'fully' rendered pictures takes away the personality of the human hand that drew them.

*__* I'm on break in 2 weeks. I would loooove a shot at CGing some of your FFXI art. I haven't had an FFXI collab -ever-. *cries* I've only met 5 other FFXI English speaking artists.
