Mission BCNMs

I haven't been able to find an answer to this one.

When doing a BCNM that is for a country's mission(such as the Bastok 2-3 Emissary mission that involves fighting a dragon), can players from other countries join the fight? For that matter can people who have already completed the mission come back to help out?

I'm trying to put together a party for the mission, but I don't want to gather a bunch of people and then end up being the only one who makes it in to fight the dragon.

It varies by the BCNM. Some (many) require completion of that BCNM before, or being on the mission for it. For the 2-3 mission, it's not specified by the wiki. It wouldn't surprise me if it had requirements, but I'd be surprised to see anybody helping who was NOT rank 3 somewhere...

I think anyone above Mission 2-1 in their prospective nation can /assist. I'm of Sandy and I've helped out Bastonians.

The only mission BCs that don't require the player to be either on or past the mission are A Crystal Prophecy and A Moogle Kupo d'Etat missions. Anyone can join those fights even if they haven't bought those add-on scenarios.

I can't remember but I think if the player hasn't done the mission, then he needs to be fighting the dragon at the same location as you. Besides that, anyone that's done the mission before can help.

Sounds about right.

We ended up doing the mission twice last night. The first one there was a Sandorian(rank 2) who tried to join us but needed to fight the dragon in Windurst so he got booted at the circle. After the rest of us grabbed rank 3 we headed to Windurst and picked up some more folks from Bastok who needed the mission and all jumped into the circle. It seems to be dependent upon where your designated dragon is, and whether you've finished the mission before.

Forming parties for anything other than exp is still like pulling teeth though.
