It has something of an advantage in that you don't have to pay to play.

As I hear it, the playerbases of Lineage and Lineage II are almost entirely in Korea. I think that series is bigger there than WoW is here.

      What Taskmage said.

It WAS generally considered that 2nd place to WoW was FFXI, but I'd be inclined to believe that Runescape has eclipsed it. I say 2nd place or 3rd because the Lineage games are 90% Korean, and that's all that korea really plays.

But seriously, I have a 75RDM, If you level Sam, we could probably duo anything in the game, so right then and there if me and you play, THIS GAME WILL NEVER DIE!

All games eventually 'die' ..companies move on to bigger better things. As far as FFXI though...it still has plenty of time left. One of the most in depth games out there (but that may not be for everyone) take WOW for ex...the games super easy to play and level up and learn and is filled with younger players...where as you take a game like FFXI or EVE and its completely the opposite. It all matters and the person and what they prefer. As for the chart.... That big drop is SE dealing with RMT problems. If anything prices will drop not player count. Ill admit when i started couple years ago the server (fairy) was bustling with activity day and night and nowadays it seems pretty quiet. Personally I think SE can merge alot of the servers together as the came isnt as popular as it was. Seems like the servers are becoming underpopulated.

I remember when I didnt have my inv flag up more then 30 min to find pt. now I lucky to even get a invite. Peak times there were over 4000 players. Now its seems to be steady around 1500-2500 was thinking of switching worlds but it looks like fairy is a pretty 'active' server...
