Awesome! Thanks for the maps! Thats going to help a lot. And thanks for that tip Armando. I will keep that in mind. Should I set my home point there once I get there? I'm assuming yes since its such a long walk ><

Yes, set it there. You'll be partying in Qufim Island at 20, and that zone is right next to Jeuno.

Also, I highly recommend you start working on unlocking outpost warps after you get your chocobo license - it can speed up your travel a lot in the future.

I was in a party today and they were telling me about outpost warps but I didn't understand. I know that if you talk to the guard he can port you back to your main city, but I think I'm missing something. Care to explain?

EDIT: I'm learning a lot through these forums and through partying so I hope I'm not being too annoying :[ I really appreciate everyone's output. It's helping a lot :D At least once I know it I'll know it forever :D

The guards that give you Signet in your home city can also issue supply quests to players once per in-game day. When you accept a region's supply quest, you'll want to take the supplies to a nation representative stationed at an outpost in that region.

You've probably seen the outposts in Gustaberg, Valkurm and Pashhow Marshlands already in passing. If your nation controls that region, the quest to take supplies to that region will be open to you. Take the supplies to that region, hand them in to the NPC next to a national flag and you're clear to warp to and from that region from an NPC located in Bastok(with some restrictions based on level, they won't let a level 1 character warp right out to the dunes).

What regions are controlled by your nation may vary from week to week, so if a new region opens up, be sure to do the supply quest for that region as soon as you're able, it will help you a lot in your travels.

Alright. I think I understand. So let's say the Dunes are controlled by my nation. I get the quest from Bastok, walk my ass out there and hand it in. Once I do that I'm free to warp to the Dunes from the NPC in bastok freely? If that's so that would be awesome! That would save so much time >< Oh, I can also do it even if I switch jobs, right?

Not for free. The amount of gil an OP warp costs depends on which nation has control of the region, with your own being the cheapest and Beastmen being the most expensive. Also the higher level the zone, the higher the general cost to warp there.

There are level requirements also. For the dunes, its level 10. Here is the list:

Once you get your choco license be sure to check the NPC every week for new quests. I got a lot of them, but put off getting a few because I wasn't of a level to use them yet. Then when I was of level to use the area they weren't owned by my country for months!

Keep in mind though that some of them you won't be able to do the quest for via choco- Like the Tavnazian Archipelago - you won't be able to get that one done until you beat the CoP 1-3. But once you've done so get the quest done the first chance you get as that is the easiest way to get there.
