I'm new to this game and forum. (I haven't started yet) I tried searching around but I couldn't find my question and answer anywhere so.. I was wondering if I could split the 2008 collection pack with my cousin, say I only install the first three expansions and then give Wings of the Goddess to my cousin. Would that work or does he need my whole pack to get the last expansion from my pack? thanks to those who answer.

Re: Splitting the 2008 Collection
You register the expansions separately with the codes included in the collection. So you'd install them all, but would be giving the WotG registration Code and the collection to your cousin. If you don't register WotG for yourself, you can't enter the zones.
But really, you could access WotG content as early as level 20 and if you want to be less of an annoyance to people who would like to go to WotG zones to level or have more places to sol, you're better off registering the WotG expansion for yourself and your cousin getting his own copy. Tell him to stop being cheap, its only $20
Also, I would like to hear more about Biden. All I hear is Palin this and Palin that, what does your vice presidential candidate offer?

Re: Splitting the 2008 Collection
BBQ, I'm pretty sure the 2008 collection use that stupid All-In-One reg code to keep people from doing exactly that.
And you'd be better off starting a new thread for that. Although honestly, the best way to answer that question is to RTFG.

Re: Splitting the 2008 Collection
Thanks for the responses I don't know who to believe but I can only find 1 registration code and 3 other codes on the buddy pass card. By the way, what's a RTFG? (Sorry new to these forums)
And once I start playing and I want to activate my free trial does it automatically activate from my registration code or do I have to use the buddy pass for my trial?
Sorry I don't really pay much attention to the elections I just chose this username to see if it was taken and for the heck of it. =p

The free trial activates the moment your credit card is verified.
None of this has much to do with the buddy passes, those are old hat and useless now that SE lets you pick your servers and allows for server transfers, which they didn't do originally.
Also, I don't know what RTFG is, either, mostly because I'm not someone who abbreviates everything, I just mock those that do and so does my name

Re: Splitting the 2008 Collection
Ya they started a all-in-one code back in '07 when they released the collection with wotg.
You can give him a buddy pass and he can play for 30 days free. If he likes it he can go get the collection, and just register the set to the account. Its pretty cheap now a days 19.99 in canada and usually we are on the high end ridding the shaft.
