Slow Patching?

Hey guys! been a while since i posted here :D

Im just returning to FFXI and its updating now. But it is Sloooow

I have a 10mb connection and its barely even using 1/5th of that, anyway i can get the pol uploader to stop dragging its ass?

Looking forward to seeing ragnarokians ingame :D

Its based on the server speed not your speed.

I patched about 2 years ago from the original CD's I had and it took about 4 hours, in fact i I did a thread on it.... here

That was 2 years ago, I'd add another hour and a half for all the new content and expansion pack which has happened since then. I have never had the download rate go above 150kb/s though when downloading updates (checked with NU meter)

well it said 5 hours at 11:45am.

installed with the 2006 vanadiel collection which is the original dvd release afaik, only includes RiZ and CoP, then i installed ToAU. I dont have WotG.

its now 2:05pm. and has 1 hour left. 81% complete. So in 2 hours and 20 minutes its done 4 hours of patching. Im happy with that, this last hour will probably only take 40 minutes then

Could you link me to the bandwidth monitor you used ?
