  • Randomnly deleted content ID

So I log into Vana'diel and go to my characters and discover that apparently the content ID for my character is no longer valid or deleted. She's still there on the page with the name and everything, except that it's grayed out and I can't sign in.

I did in fact try and delete a content ID because I only had two at first, my main and my mule, but somehow a third one popped in there. Not sure how it happened, and since it's an extra dollar, I wanted it deleted. But instead of deleting the one I wanted gone, it instead deleted the wrong one.

It's weird, and I can't seem to resolve it right now because of the maintenance going on. It really sucks. I read somewhere that you can only reactivate a content ID once per account. Is this true? Because I did it once before about a year ago with another character. And I really hope it's not true, because I'd probably shed a little tear.

How long does the maintenance last? I'd like to resolve this as soon as possible.

Do you know about the one content ID revival per account? I couldn't find any information about it on the playonline website or services & support.

No, sorry, I'm not familiar with that policy.

If she is still there and the name is gray, then it sounds to me like you "de-activated" the account, not deleted it. If it were deleted she still wouldn't be up there.

Go in and check your Content IDs and see if the Unwanted is active and the main is inactive. You may just have to reactivate her.

            Re: Randomnly deleted content ID

You can deactivate and reactivate your content ids as often as you want, it's your character that you can only delete once. If you can log on and see your character then that means it's the content ID, which shouldn't be a problem to start up again. It was probably a glitch during maintenance so calling them up should fix it.

Either that or someone else is fiddling with your account. In that case, it's time to change the password

They weren't deleted, just deactivated. Some sort of billing bug, it happened to me too. Just go to Content ID and reactivate them, they'll be fine after that.

Edit: The weird thing is that it said they were deactivated 6/29, but I had played on them on 6/30 before they were deactivated on 7/1, lol.
