How can I make sure I get my character's name back?
My account was hacked on Monday night after I logged. :'( My worry isn't the gear I accumulated over four years or the gil or any other items I had. It's that SE can't guarantee that my name will still be available. Yeah, my name means that much to me. :/ How do I safeguard the name and what's the wait time to reuse it? I have heard that I can have someone make a mule with the name while I wait to get access to my account back (it was moved from Carby to Bahamut). If this will work I'll be sooo happy.

Unless they delete your character, there's no reason why your name would be at risk. If it were, just have a friend make a mule with the name. There can only be one character with any given name per server.

Carby says the name is available... The people who took my account really did a number on it :/ When I logged on after getting temp access back to see what was missing, I was dead in KS99 BCNM fight ~.~ all my mules had stupid names like Bkhree and I have about 12k in gil (prob from money dropped off BCNMs) they sent my big gil items to a dif character BUT I still have all my rare/ex stuff including my wedding ring. I'll have a mule made and hope for the best :[ Thanks for the help. Stupid smart.dll -.-Comment

If they forgot(possible since you were dead in a KS99 BCNM), you might beable to retrieve the name of the character they sent your items to. If the character they sent the items to has already retrieved the items, then you need pen and paper ready/good memory. Each item in the delivery service will be on the screen for about 1-2 seconds with the reciepents name then it will disappear.Originally posted by Alaminia View PostPSN ID: Kelshan
