Meh, at 22 I'd stick with Empress. You're still most likely going to be in EXP parties once a day, and since you get 7 charges with Empress, you can use it every day of the week without worrying about recharge rate. Sure, you get less total exp, but at least you've got something. Personally, I wouldn't switch to emperor until 30s, or unless you only exp'd 3 days/week.

Remember folks, you can only recharge once per conquest period. Use it wisely!

In the long run, the Empress band will get you the most exp if you exp long enough to use the whole bonus.

Honestly, I don't know why they introduced the Emperor Band.

Chariot Band sucks. Just break it down to the math.

Chariot Band lasts 90 minutes and gives 75% bonus for a max of 500. That means you'd need to get 667 XP before the bonus to reach that 500. 667 XP in 90 minutes means you would need to normally achieve 445 XP per hour to get your full bonus.

Empress Band lasts 180 minutes and gives 50% for a max of 1000. That means you'd need to get 2000 XP before the bonus to reach that 1000. 2000 XP in 180 minutes means you would need to normally achieve 667 XP per hour to get your full bonus.

You shouldn't have a problem reaching 667 XP per hour (without bonus), even solo. If you're soloing, and know you're not going to hit that mark, you just don't use the ring, and life goes on as usual until you get into a party that will get you decent XP. That means the Chariot Band sucks.

The Emperor Band lasts 210 minutes and gives 50% for a max of 2000. That means you'd need to get 4000 XP before the bonus to reach that 2000. 4000 XP in 210 minutes means you would need to normally achieve 1143 XP per hour to get your full bonus.

That's a little trickier, depending on your job and level. It should never be a problem in a party, but soloing EP it might be iffy. The Emperor Band also only has three charges per conquest week, instead of seven. Here, it's really a matter of how often you play and how you XP. If you play every day, and do a mix of soloing for lower XP and partying, the Empress Band is likely better. If you really only XP a couple times a week, and you know you can hit 1143 XP/hour when you do, the Emperor is a better choice.

Each band has a different Conquest Point cost. Also, read Ellipses's post; he's broken down the relative strengths and weaknesses of each band very well.

Also, for reference, forums are far less time-sensitive than live chat. You can take the time to type well even if you're a slow typist and English is one of your weaker subjects.

Yeah I think Emperor Band was meant to be a boost for players that have less time to play during the week. This way, they get some benefit from the EXP bonuses rather than letting Empress Band waste away several days of the week.

And my adventures would be a prime example of that. If I'm lucky I get a good 2 hours every other day to log in and play, right now I'm messing about with my low level jobs to get them up to valkrum level when I get past finals. The Emperor Band is the best value for me so far, the only downside is if I play more than 2 days a week it is drained when saturday rolls around and I'm unable to use it for exp parties.
