Re: help
Do this ALONE or with other level 20's! This is part of the fun of the game! Having someone escort you all the way there takes all the accomplishment out of it!
I remember the first time we did it and this was back when there were no maps online to help either. We plodded along dodging aggro and hoping that the next zone was the right one. We went the wrong way so many times and saw so many cool things along the way. We laughed our butts off too. Then we made it to Sauromugue Champaign and we could see the Jeuno gates! Well my little mithra got stuck on a log (LOL) and then we got aggro from a raptor. Back to the start! LOL
You'll make good memories if you do it with other level 20's or by yourself. It'll just be "oh this is it" if you get some high level to guide and protect you.Originally posted by FebaBut I mean I do not mind a good looking man so long as I do not have to view his penis.Originally posted by TaskmageGod I hate my periods. Re: help
You don't need them, but they're AH only.
Consider running to Jeuno a right of passage, do it the hard way. Besides, it isn't going to be the only time you're going to want to run through somewhere dangerous.

Passage from Windurst or Sandoria to Jeuno is mostly avoiding sight aggro, heading in from Bastok to Jeuno is mostly avoiding sight and sound mobs.
It can be done without oils or powders, but its just better that you do it with them to ensure you get to your destination alive.
Also, make it a point to stop at any Outpost under control of your nation and set your homepoint there. This way, if you do get clobbered along the way, you can restart from the outpost and not from your home nation. You can also set HP with other nations outposts, but they'll charge you for the service.

Re: help
Don't take the easy way out. Don't take the easy way out. Don't take the easy way out. Don't take the easy way out. Don't take the easy way out.
It'll come back and bite you in the ass. Why? Because this won't be the first time you'll have to get through a zone where aggroing a mob means almost certain death. If you don't learn how to do it now, you'll pay for it later, lose more EXP, and possibly jeopardize a party.
Just because the zones are loaded with high level mobs that aggro doesn't mean it's not a simple task to get through them. Be patient. Wait for mobs to move (this is important and I'll get back to it in a minute), then run past sight-aggro mobs without letting them see you, and stay away from sound-aggro mobs.
The reason you should wait for mobs to move before proceeding is, if you don't know how long ago the mob moved, there's a good chance that Orc you're trying to run past will turn around just as you're running behind it. So you wait, that way you're sure accidents won't happen.
If you don't want to lose EXP then just change to a Level 1 job.

Re: help
For future reference, if you're trying to ask for in-game help from people on your server, you might want to give your character name.
Not that you need anything for this other than maps and patience.Ellipses on Fenrir
There is no rush. If you're not willing to take your time, don't be surprised when no one wants to give you much of theirs.

Re: help
I went from Windurst to San d'Oria at lv6, and from Valkurm to Jeuno at lv 14. and that's as a tarutaru mage, my first time in the game, literally not having played for a week yet.
I didn't even know what prism powders and silent oils were. Just think of it this way: By going there yourself, without assistance from items or other players, you're making a good memory, and gaining a valuable skill in aggro avoidance. By taking the easy way out, you're doing something that a newb taru BLM did while even weaker, and something tons of players have done on level one jobs. Or in short, you'd be a pussy.

If you're not confident in your ability to avoid aggro, going on a level 1-4 job is probably not a bad idea. Remember Quadav aggro sound (i.e., they have an aggro circle around them) while Goblins aggro sight (i.e., an aggro cone in front).Wii Number - 2810 2423 4673 3261 - Please PM me if you add me!
