  • Before I join I'd like to know... (list of Q's)

Well I was thinking about starting FFXI, and I'd like to avoid buying it only to be dissapointed. So I'd like to know:
1)Can you change your payment method or used credit card?
2)Are the game time cards available?
3)How long are characters kept after a missed/ canceld payment?
4)How big is the playing community?
5)Are american and erope servers intergrated?
6)Can PC, PS2, and 360 all play together?
7)How often is this game updated?
    8) How is the combat pace?
9)How much is the monthly fee? (in £'s)

    Weeeeeel thats it me thinks~
    Thanks in advance.

      Thanks for that.
As it is now, I'll have to use my dad's credit card for paying (if I can bug him into leting me), until next year when I can sort ot my own. I edited that last question in, I assume its about £8?
Well I guess thats enough info for me to spend £15 on the bundle and test it out.

Re: Before I join I'd like to know... (list of Q's)

As a Uk member I can answer this...

Looking at my last statement, the subscription is £9.69 a month (that is for the main ID and 1 other content id i.e. I have 2 characters out of the 12? you can have on one account)

Its about £9 a month with just your main ID for 1 character.

best advice is wait until the beginning of a month before you subsribe, SE do not charge for part of a month.

don;t forget if you buy a brand new game from a shop (or amazon) then you get the first 30 days free, I beleive you still ahve to register a credit card though, been 2 years since I first started so memory is a bit fragmented.

Quetz, I understand if english isn't your native language, but please don't give advice when your words are so mangled that they're actually the opposite of what you mean to say.

A note on question 3, they promise 3 months, but half a year, or even over a year isn't uncommon. and that's not counting Return to Vana'diel. Just don't DELETE the character (stop paying for the content ID, NEVER delete the character!) and you're good 99% of the time.

LOL yeah sorry didnt saw my mystake

i mean... you CAN test the game for 30 days and if you dont like it you can just remove your credit card from your ID that way you dont have to cancel it and will not be charged for it.

                Feba: better? ^^

lol that one I understood better.
And thanks for the note on character deletion, though I'd never delete a character, only stop the account payments.

Another question poped into my head~
Can I run this on windows 2000? Recently I had to remove winXP and had no spare licence for it so I installed win2K.
