Hello. I recently installed the Japanese version of PlayOnline for a second time on a different computer, and I find myself facing a little trouble this time around.
I have successfully installed and ran the Japanese PlayOnline before several times. However, with this new installation I am getting odd results.
I am able to launch PlayOnline and log onto an account with no problem. Where my issue lies is when it is time for the software to update itself.
I do not receive any error messages, the application does not crash nor does it freeze.
My account name and password are authorized by the program. I'm asked whether or not I'd like to update the version software and I say yes.
Upon the start of the update, I'm met with this:
"ãƒãƒ¼ãƒ‰ãƒ‡ã‚£ã‚¹ã‚¯ãƒ‰ãƒ©ã‚¤ãƒ—ã®ç©ºã容é‡ã¨ãƒ€ã‚¦ãƒ³ãƒãƒ¼ãƒ‰ã™ã‚‹ãƒ‡ãƒ¼ã‚¿ã®å®¹é‡ã‚’ãƒã‚§ãƒƒã‚¯ã—ã¦ã„ã¾ã™ã€‚" (The Japanese characters may not show up on your screen correctly. I have included an attachment with a screenshot of the PoL window in case.)
I've done a couple very simple machine translations and have had no luck getting a clear meaning out of it.
WorldLingo translates the text to something like this: "Empty capacity of capacity of the data which is downloaded is checked."
I have ample disk space left on this hard drive. There can not be a storage conflict, so it's easy to rule out that cause.
My thoughts are that it lies somewhere in my registry editing. I'm doing everything by memory, so it is likely that I am forgetting to do something.
I have seen topics on this web site that ask for help on different issues regarding the Japanese version of PlayOnline. I've yet to see, though, anyone make any remark to the type of problem that I am experiencing.
I would be most appreciative for any sort of help that I could get with this. Any bit of information would great.
And if anymore information needs to be given out on my part, please ask.
Thank you in advance.
