Logical reason for commiting suicide in Jeuno

Excuse me, but is there any logical reason for three peeps to continually commit suicide via poison powder in Lower Jeuno while at level 1?

Saw this today on Remora, and I'm rather confused.

I do it for entertainment and because I'm an extremly lazy person at times. I have a total of 16 mules. 12 are in whitegate, 3 are in jeuno, and then 1 in each city. I move the whitegate one around a bit, such as to bazzar things, keep supplies (like silent oils and prisim powders when going to sky), store armor, get timers on NMs and the like.

The main reason I use them is all the extra room on the AH. However, there is a significant increase in AH fees in whitegate as compared to Jeuno. So I move a mule back to jeuno to sell more junk. If I'm particularly lazy, I won't run them out of town and die to HP them back, I have them drink a poison pot and die in town and then HP back to whitegate. Not really needed, but entertaining while serving a purpose none the less.

Also, a reason could be to cap healing magic skill. Raise gives quicker skill ups it seems, so killing a mule and continually raising it may be a way to cap Healing magic. Not the most effective, but effective none the less.

That said, most people do it for entertainment.

I always thought it was a sure fire way to get people to check your Bazaar. I personally have a hard time resisting the urge to check someone if they are dead inside a city.

The answer is Honor.

See, a warrior who has lost the battle against stupidity has only one way to save his honor, that's seppuku. But since not many players would dare to do it in the real (or in game unless they 2hr as NIN) then poison is the most dramatic way of killing themselves.

Pretty simple, huh?

That's true, but after an hour no one is going to look at it (as much) because you will automatically HP. I guess you could circumvent that by checking again in an hour and drinking another pot, but seems like a waste.

I think they just do it for fun, honestly.

But yes, I have a hard time resisting checking a dead person too, especially in town.

TRUTH!!!!!

Well we shall call him Mr.Abef. Mr.Abef has always been an emotional man, he decided to settle down with his taru bride and open a small potion store in lower jeuno. Mr.Abef's business was doing great two years ago, jeuno was busy and he was becoming very very popular. Mr.Abef was getting so happy he would normally yell at people he deemed stupid and tell them to die in a fire, many times he would get arrested by wulfgang.

Move forward a few months, The empress decided open travel to the near east. Jeuno drastically becomes a ghost town. Mr.Abef walks around the streets still blowing his money, saying they will be back.

Move forward to today. Mr.Abef comes home to an evicition notice on his door, as he enters he witnesses his wife in bed with a taru in a bear costume!!! Crushed he runs from his mog house, realizing he should quit this game, he pops a poison potion dying in jeuno....

The end.

I hope you now have a better understanding of why people do this.

Nah, it's something weird happening in Vana'diel so of course there must be some way to attribute it to RMT. Hmm ... Oh, I know! They're being paid to level guard skill for someone's mnk, so they're leveling down so they can tank their gimp exp alliances on mnk over and over and over again. That must be it.
