Job Help!!!! Plz

Hello everyone.

First I'll start with a list of my jobs & lvls.
SMN65, WHM46, BLM38, BRD17, RDM13, BLU12, COR10
Rest are between 1-5

I been a SMN for awhile now, Got all the Avatars and AF etc.
Lately I been told at 70+ theres a huge lack of invites....
I been thinking of moving over to Bard.
I know I don't wanna lvl more Subjobs.... Like Nin really hate Nin lol.
Not sure really what do to..
RDM...BRD...SMN...WHM....BLM..........

Any advice would be GREAT!
Also info on jobs would be helpful too!

At that level you should be able to solo pretty well, so lack of invites might not be such a big deal if you're still enjoying smn.

At 70 you can solo your way around and I never heard of Sum with lack of invites at that level.
Tough, you will eventually need to work on War and Nin.

Hey Gal,

Been a while... I still stand by choose the job you enjoy, and get the levels as they come, I'd way rather spend the time to 75 doing a job I find fun and challenging than whatever will get me to 75 fast. Do it that way and levelling subjobs becomes a step towards doing your first job the best, as oppossed to what you can get away with.

This may actually be the source of your frustration finding a job to stay with. If you really like a job do the subjobs needed to do it well and keep having fun. I'd think that having the wrong sub would eventually make any job less-fun as it doesn't operate to full potential.

Or maybe I'm a total whack....

Tough, you will eventually need to work on War and Nin.

Err why? None of the jobs she's listed as leveled or having interest in require nin as a sub. It's useful for brd, blu and rdm but by no means required.

BLM can get some-what dull later on as you'll end up soloing for most of your exp, but it's still fun to blast things to death IMO and plus you'll be a great asset for most end game activities.

WHM well... I'll give you that one. I find it odd that people enjoy sitting back and healing, but we need them so I say Gift Horse/Mouth >. >b


PUP is far from lame. It just needs a lot of tweaking. It's easily the most complex and thus misunderstood job in the game. It also requires a lot of capital to get the best attachments.

COR is a BRD that can actually do damage in a fight. What's better than that? Plus you get that sexy Pirate AF! yar! *grabs a bottle of rum*

To say BLU is dull is.... well... mind boggling. It's everything RDM should have been and more. Yes, getting spells can be a real pain in the ass, but look at it this way; they're all free. No gil involved whatsoever.

And it's so versatile. You can be main healer, DD, Tank, and even nuke/enfeeble and still do good melee DoT. It's my next job to 75 after I finish with SAM and start meriting. At least give it a try, you won't be sorry.


As for the /WAR and /NIN comment... those two subs (along with /THF) are pretty much required for BLU. NIN is optional for BRD but helps a lot for pulling.

My advice though is to stick to the job you like. Do NOT level a job to 75 just because of invite rates, or believe me you will grow to hate that job (I personally can't stand my 75 WAR anymore...)

Though I do agree with your appraisal of her appraisal of blu. To me blu is possibly the funnest job in the game. I don't see how it could be called dull unless she just really hated spell collecting or didn't get the spells that make the job good.

And COR is completely dull, during the solo levels. Party with it and see how you feel about it. Heaps better IMO.
