So, I was wondering, is it possible to unlock the level 30 jobs solo? Or do they require a party?

Some can be soloed, some can't. -

Off the top of my head:
BRD, DRK, BST, PLD, SMN, RNG can
DRG, NIN, SAM can't or can't be soloed until your a ways past 30
I don't know anything about unlocking BLU, COR or PUPComment

BLU, COR and PUP can all be soloed. BLU is extremely easy to solo.
For COR and PUP its just a matter of getting through the deathtrap known as Caedarva mire, if you're less than level 50 and want those jobs, bring some high-level friends to watch your back and bring sneak/invis items if you are not a mage.
You'll need a lamia fang key to get to the COR ??? point in Arrapogo Reef and it can be obtained from a ??? outside in Caedarva Mire.
If you want to unlock COR and PUP, complete all CS for both that lead up to you being told to go to Arrapogo Reef. This way can check both ??? quest points and not have to go back to complete either quest.
As an aside, the creepy Elvaan PUP in Bastok is actually where the PUP quest begins, it doesn't start in Aht'Urghan.

He's saying at lv. 30 and solo. BLU is easy to solo you can probably do it as a lv. 1 character. I did what I needed with a lv. 5 job. COR and PUP you could solo at lv. 30 but it can be pretty tough.Originally posted by Omgwtfbbqkitten View Post

Ah, nevermind I forgot about the Korroloka Leeches. Yeah because of those NIN isn't soloable. Seems really the only ones that can't be solo'd at all at lv. 30 is NIN and SAM. Both are because of mobs that can give lv. 60s a little trouble. Really though in that sense if you want to say NIN isn't soloable because of the leeches then BST shouldn't be soloable either since that Kraken guards the ???.Last edited by Macht; 04-19-2007, 02:48 PM.

The hard part for NIN are the 3 Korroloka Leeches that spawn that must be killed to obtain the Key Item needed before you can go to Norg.
The NM Bomb and NM Ent (Tree) are for SamuraiComment
