RoZ uninstalled? o_o

This happened to me about a week ago, and I've been curious if anything similar has happened to anyone else. I log on, about 2 weeks since last playing, and when I get to XI, it tells me an expansion pack is not installed, I will not be allowed to enter those areas. So I get to the XI screen and it shows RoZ missing. o_O Now, this was a couple weeks after I had beaten RoZ...but I know that has nothing to do with it, lol. And pretty much, I stuck in my Vana'diel collection and uninstalled RoZ, then reinstalled, and everything was good. Only different thing was all the .dats I swapped were corrected.

Main thing is, I'm just curious if anyone has seen this before? An expansion pack seemably disappearing, or possibly some file directories got messed up? I hadn't even opened my FFXI folder for quite some time, so I know that I didn't change anything. Well, just curious if this has happened to anyone else.

It could be reading the corrupted/missing dats as being uninstalled, which makes it think your entire ROTZ folder is messed up. What are .dat swapping with ROTZ folders anyway, monsters? Stop that >_>

Weird. Maybe someone uninstalled it without you knowing. Other than that, I've no idea how it could have happened.

Hmm, well the only thing I had .dat swapped was my MNK AF, Mithra MNK AF, PLD AF...and uhh like Arhat's gear, nothing else. And they worked for more than 8 months before I had any trouble. o_o And I know for a fact no one uninstalled cause no one uses my compy. x_x Well, it's all good now, and I'll just avoid .dat swapping for now, lol.

I really don't think it had anything to do with dat swapping. Especially after 8 months of it working properly.

Yar, I'm thinking the same. Just assuming it was a random glitch, maybe some files on my compy got shifted somehow without my knowledge. Or possibly some problem with the windower, it could've been lots of things.
