Do you happen to have FFXI or Playonline open right now? If so, then that's your problem right there. If you don't and it's still doing it then just reboot your computer.

i restarted but it wont show anythings on the window
i also try to get in game, after i play "play" them onitor turns black
and then an error appears, asking for hadware tnl....wth happens
my pc runs games that requires more than this game

That's your problem. A lot of older video cards (particularly integrated cards) don't support TnL.

You need a real video card to run FFXI - on-board video very rarely works, and even in the rare occasions when it does, the performance is awful.

Apparently if your error message has (-1) at the end that indicates a graphics card problem. TnL is textures and lighting I believe... You need a better graphics card anyway. I sorted this problem by buying an ATI Radeon 9000 (or something) for about £35 online and that worked fine.

I'm getting the same error as well, and I also have a 64 mb graphic intel card on my laptop.

I don't understand though. I could play WoW decently with this laptop, but for some reason it won't play with FFXI?

Is there anyway I can get around this?

I'm running intel 82852.

FFXI requires hardware TnL (transformation and lighting) to operate correctly.

Your Intel 82852 does not support TnL.

onboard video cards usually won't work for FFXI whether its a desktop or laptop pc.

And you're getting the error too. Yea, right.

You need graphic cards with hardware TnL. Laptop or PC, doesn't matter. You don't have it, you can't run this game.

You can, but it's very pricey and I wouldn't recommend it because the components of a laptop are much more sensitive than within a PC. If you really wanted an upgrade, I would suggest going to see a PC Technician for pointers and to do the job.

Just wondering if the attached screenshot of an error I get every 15 minutes, is one that relates to a video card problem.

My 10 yr old kicked my computer a couple months back and I have reinstalled the computer once already.

I will have to look into replacing my video card if it is. I just want to be sure before I go spending extra money.
