Keymapping ?

Well I splurged and dropped down $30 for the game and as of the moment, I am regretting it, why you ask, KEYMAPPING !!


Im used to the FPS key&mouse mapping 99% of mmorpgs. However I find the current key and mouse mapping to be rather awkward, to say the least. Left hand on numberpad + Right hand on mouse= something far worse then carpal tunnel.

Is there some way I can change this to fit my style of gameplay ? Or am I going to be forced to quit before I even really get started ?

Well, to start, you could stop using your mouse. It's near useless in this game. You can do everything with your right hand on the numpad and your left hand free to type, open menus and use your macros.

Or you could switch to the "Compact" keyboard setting (In game menu > Config > Keyboard&Mouse), and use the mouse and the WASD keys for movement.

Or use a controller. A lot of people seem to rave about that.

Cool, i was thinking of trying out a Controller

and yea, I figured the game was more about the keyboard, but you know, im a pc gamer, my right hand on the mouse is habitually on my mouse whenever I sit at my computer (unless im typing, as I am now)

Understandable. Took me a while to get used to the controls again after I took a break to play other MMOs, but it really does eventually become like second nature.
