  • Just A few quiestions

Haven't had the game for that long but long enough to be getting bored of running around killing crawlers and goblin's at level 12 outside windhurst. Sooo, here are my questions:

-I'm a level 12 monk, where should i go for experiance?

-I have completed the first 3 missions of windhurst and i am rank to, how do i get onto my next mission?

-I want to get summoner as my main proffesion, how would i go about getting it?

-I have collected alot of silk thread from all the crawlers, how much should i sell it for?

-I have been doing alot of fishing (caught about 30-50 fish moat carp) and i'm only level 1, does it always take this long?

    Thanks all.

Might want to start from buying yourself maps of Zukraim region. Then go to Buburimu, and to Mhaura. Take the ship that goes to Selbina (not Aht Urghan.) From Selbina, you can seek party there, or head norht east into Lathaine and kill weak mobs there while you wait.

At level 12, you can go to Giddeus (zone from West Sarutabaruta) if you want to solo or duo.
If you want to group, you might be able to find a few other players in Windurst, and East/West Sarutabaruta and head for the Maze of Shakarami (or however its spelled) -- the zone for the maze is in Tahrongi Canyon. The prey du jour is worms.
The most popular place to get experience levels 10-20 (in parties) is Valkurm Dunes. No travel pass is required -- you'll have to hoof it through Tahrongi Canyon to Buburimu Peninsula, then through the Peninsula to Mhaura. From Mhaura you shell out 100 gil to take a boat to Selbina (which zones into the Valkurm Dunes).

After getting Rank 2 in any city (Windurst included) in order to get the next series of Rank missions you must trade crystals to the gate guard. Trade in stacks of crystals (probably Earth or Wind is best since they tend to be the least valuable) to the gate guard and then check to see if you can get the next mission. If you can't get the next mission, rinse-lather-repeat.

Getting Summoner requires a level 30 job. You'll be busy with that for awhile. However, once you have a level 30 job, you need to complete the I Can Hear a Rainbow quest to unlock the job and start playing. Information about the quest can be found here:
        http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/I_Can_Hear_a_Rainbow

As far as how much to sell the Silk Thread for -- check the Action House on your server. You'll be able to deduce the average price from the history of sales. Standard rules of supply and demand work in Vana'diel just like in real life. If there's not much Silk Thread available, you might be able to get away with selling it for a slightly higher price. If there's a plethora of thread available, you might have to sell it for slightly less than average.

I can't comment too much on the fishing skill-ups. I'm only level 11 and tend to be too impatient too spend enough time with it. However the slow rise in skill seems par for the course. However it might be useful to follow a guide to become more efficient. I've seen Neighbortaru link to this fishing guide.
