A question i have on a few things

I bought the ff11 vanadiel collection , you all know what it includes , aswell as 30 days of free play.

How does the 30 days work? After my 30 days they just freeze my character until i can pay for more days , or do they continue my account past the 30 days and then i have to start paying. If the second one is true how do i make it stop after 30 days until i can afford more play time?


Thanks to whoever helps me. I look forward to joining this gaming community. This game seems really fun!

Also another question , do i need the disc everytime i want to play , or i dont need the disc to play?

Even if you do get a 30 day trial period, you still need to provide the valid credit card # when you sign up (will be checked for the validity). After 30 day trial is up, your acct is kept active and your credit card will be charged thereafter. In order to avoid being charged after the trial period, you must cancel your Content ID (think of it as a ticket to play the game) before trial is over. Content ID can be cancelled through the POL Viewer; no need to call support.

You won't be charged anything during the trial, and portion of the month after the trial is pro-rated and charged at the 1st day of the next month along w/ 12.95 for that month. You'll be charged 12.95 on every 1st day of the month thereafter. (For instance, if you sign up on 9/16, your trial ends on 10/15. You'll be charged for 16 days of October (16-31) pro-rated, along w/ 12.95 for November on 11/1. Thereafter, 12.95 is charged to your credit card on every 1st day of the month.)


And no, you don't need the disk every time you play. You only need it to install the game.

ok so , if i use my 30 days , and cancel the day i start , after my 30 day trial , my account will just stop and i wont pay anything?

Also if i cancel my account , will i be able to reactivate it and keep the character i was working on once i get the funds to keep up my days?

I can't say for certain, but I believe the Content ID lasts for the entire 30 days whether you cancel on the day you start or the very last day of trial. For the definite answer, you should wait till someone else replies. But after the trial is over, even if we cancel before the end of month, we can still play for the rest of the month, in other words what we already paid for, so the same should apply to trial period; the duration you're entitled to for free of charge.

And even if you cancel the Content ID, yes, you can reactivate the character in the future, provided that it's been inactive for less than a year. (According to the FAQ section of Playonline support, it says 3 months, but it's been reported a number of times that s-e support said it's been extended to 1 year.) Make sure that you do NOT delete the character; it's the Content ID you should cancel to stop being charged. Deleted characters can't be reactivated, unless there's what's called "Welcome Back Campaign" going on at that time. (Held twice in the past, but not guaranteed to happen in the future.)

Ya thats what i ment , i cancel it the day i activate my free 30 days , i get my free 30 days then it cuts off after that , not charging me anything , until i can reactivate my account to play some more, Seems about right , doesnt it?

12.95 shouldnt be too difficult to scrape up in 30 days. But yeah, in theory if you cancelled your account the same day youstarted it , you would be able to keep your 30 day free trial.

I'm pretty sure you just get a 30 day free period when you start a new account, starting when you activate the account, regardless of if you cancel the Content ID or not. Once you use that registration code, the free trial period starts whether you use it or not.

In other words,

Day 1: Start account. 30 day free trial begins.

Day 20: Cancel content ID. No charges incurred. The remaining 10 days you had on your free trial are lost if you do this.

Day 90 (or whatever): Purchase a new content ID. Charges incurred ($12.95US) for that month.
