Ffxi is a game you have to buy in a store with real money. You also have to pay a monthly fee to continue playing it. This is not the official ffxi site. This is just a fan community. Go to http://www.playonline.com/ff11us/index.shtml for more information.

Install the game on your console or PC and then you're good to go.

1. a PS2

2. a PC
or
3. an Xobx 360

andyou need to purchase a copy of the final fantasy XI game from your local retailer.

judging by the fact you are posting on her means you might qualify on option 2 provided you have a DVD rom drive and can read the instructions included within the box of the game you purchased from your local retailer.

I think we really need a sticky on the general and FAQ forums that tells people that you actually have to buy the game to play. I know this should be obvious, but from the number of posts of this type recently, it's just not quite... obvious enough.

Will put it on my to-do list after the FFXIOnline server comes back online in a couple days.
