I would be at most, to be able to play FFXI only 2 hours a day, would I get a good amount of satisfation, from those two hours?

Is there also a lot of emotes? If so please list some.

do you absoulotely need a graphics card? My comp was just bought like half a year ago, and it has all the requirments ecept for deatails of any system graphic card.

Do I have to keep buying world passes when I get to another world?

Do you lose a lvl each time you die? Or all your items?

Can you make the playonline engine(aka program) windowed or is it always full screen?

WOuld my firewall still work on playonline or does playonine have a firewall?

There isnt an ingame option to window your game but there is programs people use to window it, play online is suspending people for using these though

Would probably be best to use your own firewall while playing the game. i havnt played *yet* (few more days!!! yeaahh! :D ) but i have not heard of anygames having a firewall built in.

Two hours is a rather short time to play, you might be able to get by going whm and then bst but really partying and doing mission/quests with others normally takes a lot of time.

There are quite a lot of emotes, about 44 and you can write new ones.

I don't know about the pc version but most games do normally need a good enough graphics card.

You'll go to a random world when you start unless someone gets you a world pass. All extra characters you makes will then be on that world unless you use a world pass for them.

From lvl4, I think, onwards you lose exp when you die. Starts off at about -100exp and caps at -2700exp.

You need a 3rd party program, windower although there might be others, to window it.

I don't know about your firewall.

Amount of satisfaction is a pretty subjective term. Early on, two hours will be more than enough, but as you start to group and level in that way, you may find that two hours is not enough. Or maybe you will! It's so hard to say.

There is a list in the manual that you get with the game. In fact, there is a little quick reference card that has a list of the various keyboard commands that you can pull out of the manual and keep next to your keyboard. Most of the emotes are typical ones that most MMOs have like /dance, /wave, /cheer, and /sit.

Unfortunately, yes, you do need a graphics card to play graphic video games. FFXI will not run windowed without third party programs. However, the Playonline Viewer is windowed (the program that you load before booting up FFXI.

Most online games don't play too well with a Firewall. FFXI certainly doesn't. And no, it doesn't have it's own, unfortunately.

POL has *not* banned people for using Windower, unless they're stupid enough to admit to it.


And even then, they're more likely to just get a suspension.
