Engraved Tablets And Their Purpose. Theories?

Hi All.

Been doing some travelling in ToAU rescently and wondered if anyone knew what these things were for?

In Mount Z, there is one on the mainland and in the distance you can see another one on an island that, until now, I have been unable to reach (its not the one through the gate). To me this indicates that it may possibly be some kind of transportation device.

Anyone else got any more ideas?

In the update a new map is opening up, maybe it has something to do with that. Kind of like your idea and the Runic Portals put together, maybe....
