It was cancelled due to the fact my parents didn't pay it. So does this mean when I start it up again and register the credit card again I'll just have to pay the 12.95 for the month that I didn't pay and then later this month pay the $13 for this month? Are there extra fees?

out of curiosity, heres a dumb question that kind of fits in this thread.

so I started playing a long time ago and had to cancel my account because I was just to busy. I tryed coming back a few months ago and my 25 monk was gone. so...

It seems to me if you cancel your account then you cant get your char. back. Is this true? Is there any way of retrieveing the old char.? Is there a way to cancel your account and keep your char. stored for later if you come back?

I ask because I'm coming back soon, and the only thing really worrying me is that if I have to quit for a bit again that I won't be able to start up again.

edit : looks like I found the answer about how to cancel and keep my char. but I'm still wondering if I can get my char. back. Thinking no still.

If you cancel your account, they are only obligated to retain your character for three months, in case you change your mind/succumb to the withdrawal from the MMO addiction. If you wait more than three months to try to come back, odds are good that your characters will have been deleted from the server, if your account hasn't already been deleted. It's clearly stated in the manual that those are the conditions, and if your account is deleted then you have to buy the game again to get new codes to make a new account.

Why would they be obligated to store your data if you cancel your account, indicating that you no longer wish to play or pay them to retain your data? Servers have a limit on the maximum number of characters that can be registered to them, so if you stop paying, they are free to delete the information to make room for other people that are paying.

You'd like to think that, but many people who have been gone long since a year or so have been able to retrieve their account via "Return to Vanadiel" program.

The first time I returned to the game (after a good seven month break) my original character was still there. Too bad for her that I didn't feel like being a mithra anymore.

Actually I believe they increased the amount of time with your content ID inactive before they will delete your character. I quit playing for a little less then a year and decided to call them to ask if my character would still be there if I reactivated me account and he informed me that I had a few months to go before they would delete it. And to remind you I hadn't played in about 10 months.
